Remarks

University should focus more on providing exposure to outer world, rather than restricting students to academic activities only.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

It's a multidisciplinary course, which aims to develop a individual into a teacher. This course makes you aware about the foundation of teaching learning process, this course tells you to how you can tackle the students in class? How you can bring out the best from a student.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placement is decent, generally department of development studies attracts great ngo's and they do pay very well.

College Events

3.5

There are various fest. that usually happens in even semesters, there's edu-fest, cultural fest, sports meet and basant utsav and spic macay. There's also cultural exchange program in which our students get chance to visit various other university.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since college is central funded university so fees of all the courses here is not that much. For my BSc-B. Ed course form each sem you have to pay rs-4000 same is for BA-B. Ed and BA-LLB, but each year there's slight difference in fees, for masters also fees are almost same, there might be a difference of 1k or 2k, and for hostels you have to pay 9000 for a sem.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes there are some scholarship programs to help students, there's earn while you learn scheme, there's toppers scholarship and various others.

Campus Life

4

It's a central government university, so you'll find students from all over India here, from Kashmir to kanyakumari. There's a sexual harassment cell, there's committee for women's welfare. Talking about religion. Again students from all cast, creed and religion study from here. There's no disparity in this department. There's are also friendly.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is not that good, as university has started functioning in the year 2011 only and most of the courses were started in 2014, but slowly it's building up.

Admission

I got admission here, through entrance test, in the year 2017. I applied here through CUCET-2017 it's an all India level examination and nearly 20 central funded university takes part in this. You have options to choose wide variety of course and aslo you have options to choose wide variety of university.

Faculty

5

All the faculties are great, almost all of the faculties are NET qualified, and most of them hold JRF and various other fellowship also. Their academic background is good, but again that doesn't guarantee that he or she will teach you wonderfully, learning here is something that you should do of your own.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The environment of the college and its canteen is very bad.Colleges should pay attention to this because it is not safe for girls.Rest of the campus etc. maintains its value. In this, studies are done in the open only, studies are done from a distance only, one has to go only during the examination time.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had chosen this course because in a government job this department offers a great choice to become an officer in the Indian government. Approximately a faculty to student ratio is 15:90. All the faculties are well qualified and have a great teaching method. Exams are after every year and it is quite easy to pass the exams after completing the syllabus.

Remarks:

The college is good with experienced faculties, equipped labs, cultural activities, good infrastructure etc. but the placement & internship scenario in college is not so good, it doesn't placed students of B.C.A, in basic science courses no internships & placements were provided to us by college so college should work on internships and placement side. I was a student of 2009-12 batch in this college in B.S.C(zoology),overall it was a good experience in the college.
