Entrance Preview

J&K CETscored 121 marks and was on the merit listI was inclined towards the Computer Science Engineering since i was a child, thats why i choose this course.

Course Curriculum Overview

It covered all the basic subjects that are requited to enter into the IT World. Subjects include all the programming languages, with software engineering, operating system concepts etc.

Internships Opportunities

Many top compaines came to our campus including Satyam, EMC, Infosys, Wipro, HP etc. The stipend was around 6, 000 per month for the internship program.

Placement Experience

Around one fourth of the students were placed in the campus interviews. EMC was the company that give the highest package in 2007 which was 5.5 Lakhs per annum.

College Events

Our college was renowned for organizing the cultural and technical festivals wherein we invited many celebrities also. Beside this, we also participated in fests organized by other colleges in different parts of north India.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since i got the free seat in the college, therefore the fees i gave for the 4 years was approx 1 lakh rupees excluding hostel fees etc. However, for the paid seats the fees was around 3 laks for 4 years.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, there was no scholarship / loan facility offered by my college that was availed by anyone. However, most of the students took education loan from the leading banks.

Campus Life

College life was very good. Since the 50% of the students from jammu and the rest fro the kashmir, therefore it was a great experience. Moreover, the male female ration was equally distributed.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors were always very helpful in ever aspect, whether be in case of completing the assignments or in taking guidance from them. Even though they were busy in their own things but they always gave time to us whenever we were in need.

Exam Structure

Since a particular semester lasts for only 6 months, therefore, the whole 6 months were quite busy with the internals, weekly assignments, labs and then the final exams.

Faculty

Faculty was highly experienced with practical knowledge of all the subjects. They were very instrumental in shaping the carrier of all the students including me.

My opinion about nit

Likes

I like the diversity and culture of college students come from all states each festival is celebrated with fun .
The infrastructure is good providing facilities like library, amphitheatre, auditorium etc.
I like college ground where we can walk and relieve from academics

Dislikes

College infrastructure can be improved in rainy season there is water accumulation at many places , water drainage system should be there .

Placement Experience:

In 7th semester student become eligible for placement. The companies visited are L &T for civil which is big company and select many students, jsw for mechanical and increff , paypal , microsoft, visa ,make my trip for IT and CSE

Likes

One thing I liked about my college is Huge campus area.
Other thing l liked about my college is good infrastructure

The thing I disliked about my college is delay in your any complain

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements in 8th semester. Companies like L&T construction, Ambuja cement, tata , wipro, jio , Berger, infosys, IBM and many more visit the college. Highest package is around 17 LPA and average package is around 5 LPA . Almost 30 percent students get placement. My plan is to get off campus placement.

Likes

College's weather is too pleasant and the air quality is also good
The environment is also very good and also the view is very nice
Seniors are very friendly in college and also the college has strict punishment for ragging.

Dislikes

The hostel food is not upto the level that a student expect.
The facility sometimes does not able to connect with Students
Hostels are very far away from the department and students have to move very far from the hostel

Placement Experience:

The placement of our college is Average and the students are eligible in 7 semester for placement. If the student has any backlog in any of the semester they can't sit in the college placement and also it has minimum criteria of 6.5 cgpa. The percentage of students getting placement is very low sadly

A comprehensive Review

Likes

Firstally i like in my college is hostel it is located in college campus .
The second thing like in my college is campus area located in between mountain.
the last thing is about one teacher he help me in everything.

Dislikes

The first thing i do not like is transport in my college it is the major problem in my college.
The second thing is there are no proper lectures everyday one of them faculty is absent
The last thing is not a proper medical facielities

Placement Experience:

The placement at my college are fairly strong, with a focus on proving opportunities for student in both technical field and non-technical fields. various reputed companies visit our campus for placement like TCS, infosys, and many more.The highest package aroun INR 40 LPA. the majority of the offers are for cybersecurity. My plan is for business after the degree.

Campus life is good because it is very large campus area
We have isro and drdo in our campus which is a very good thing

the university is still under construction
