Remarks

Everything on a good scale about the college faculty, management, etc. All Faculty like Mr. Sachin Nimbalkar (also an alumnus) with Mechanical Engg. branch can be treated as a gem of a person bringing the college & its functioning into limelight every time. Infact, people like him are constantly doing something appreciable and innovative for the betterment of students and the whole education system.

Entrance Preview

No Entrances, Admission on 12th marks basis, family occupation of Civil Engg., hence opted. Admission process was simple, was awarded a seat in Civil Engg., depending upon 12th Std.'s score nothing much to say.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

It was fine, had 4 years with 9 subjects each year upto 3rd year, and in 45th year, had 10 subjects. Apart from these, had lot of workshops, practicals, viva's (oral examinations), etc. in all four years.

Internships Opportunities

Internship was good, but it was confined to some other branches like Electronics, Computers (IT), Instrumentation, etc. For Civil Engg. students, there was no as such any campus interview, and the stipend that was offered was in the range 2000-5000 then.

College Events

4.5

College events were fabulous, be it on academics ground, extra-curricular grounds, whatever. Frequent study tours were there to various companies, factories, etc. Technical knowledge was thus assisted with practicality other than theory structure. Cultural programmes used to be there for freshers (newly arrived batches), with annual social gathering too every year. In addition, hostel day celebrations, other events were also celebrated with great zeal.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees were not much at those times. MU whole Engg. was completed for less than Rs. 2.5 lakhs. All four years' expenses combined. The academic fees per year was merely Rs. 16000, and other expenses were say Rs. 2500-3000 per month.

Fees and Financial Aid

No. Am not aware of any scholarships or loan facilities offered by my college. Although, I heard such facilities for the one's who prove their capabilities in the first year results. So, might be possible, not sure.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life was good. The campus was well equipped with college buildings, labs, libraries, workshops, canteens, auditorium, etc. Gender ratio was not equal overall due to obvious reasons. Elaborating these reasons, would like to say that branches such as Computers, Electronics, Instrumentation, Telecommunications, etc. had larger no. of female students while only a few females opted for Civil, Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical Engg. and this disturbed the gender ratio equality. And about extra-curricular activities, I've detailed them out in your earlier question.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel facilities were good, there were rooms accommodating 2 or 3 children each. First year had compulsory hostel accommodations. From second year onwards, students had a choice to stay in hosted or outside. PG concept was not there as such, but local people used to lent out their constructed space (rooms, bungalows, etc.) to group of students who wished to stay. In '90's, a student had to incur about 300-500 per month towards accommodation expenses. No idea about current status. Also, there were private hostels too to cater to their needs.

Alumni/Alumna

Wonderful. The college was strict on ragging, however, outside the campus, there were petty instances, light in nature, no physical abuses, nothing. Alumni network is good..we do have alumni meet at intervals, the next is on 25th & 26th Dec., 2015. The college administration keeps a good network with the alumni and the ex too gives full co-operation regarding job opportunities, current developments, etc. to the students there. A very friendly environment can be observed at our college meets.

Exam Structure

Labs used to be hectic, but was necessary too and that we now understand. The experience that we had from these daylong lab activities, survey fields is very much needed in daily works. We had tiring schedules, but it was truly fruitful in the later life.

Faculty

4

Faculty was nice with experts continuously striving to impart quality education, were dedicated to give shining stars (Engineers) to society. Apart from these, they were friendly, co-operative and socially active too. The whole system ran smooth and streamlined.

Placement Experience:

Placements at ADYPU are moderate and structred . Students usually become eligilble from the final year for campus drives. Various startups and mid level comapnies visit for roles in sales, marketing, operatioons and tech support . The highest pacakage generally ranges arounf 45-50LPA , while the average package is around 4.5-6 LPA , depending on the profile . A fair percentage of active students secure placements. After completing my degree, i plan to focus on skill development and pursue better career op;portunities.

Placement Experience:

placements in GHRCE are pretty good for CS/IT branches. Students become eligible from 7th semester, but companies starts giving training sessions from 6th sem itself. Many known companies visits like Tcs, Wipro, Capgemini, cognizant, Infosis etc The highest package goes around 20-22 LPA while the average package is around 5-6 LPA. Almost 70-80% students from CS/IT get placed. My plans after getting the degree is to get a stable job and then do masters.

Government College of Engineering, Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Artificial Intelligence & Data Science)
Reviewed on Mar 2, 2025(Enrolled 2022)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course out of sheer curiosity and intrest in the field of Artificial Intelligence . The course offered by the college encapsulates all the major subtopics included in the field. Theoretically the curriculum offers great knowledge about various topics from your course however you yourself have to figure out how do you build your practical skills which you can use in the real world. teaching methods can be improvised by implementing a more practical learning based approach rather than relying on the theoretical part of the subject. there are 2exams per semester, one small exam called as mid semester exams and the other one is the major exam called as final semester exam. difficulty of exam is usually easy to moderate and one can easily pass the exam even if he/she does not study regularly.
