Remarks

It's a government university and it was the only government institute where I could get B. Tech(CSE) with 69 JEE score. I wished to pursue Computer Sciences only. I had options of some private institutes but I opted for the government one.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The syllabus is Ok. The faculty is very helpful. They will help you with all your problems and most importantly your problems are not ignored. You may not get enough industrial exposure. But the syllabus could have been better. More competitive concepts could be included.

Placement Experience

3

TCS does mass recruitment from my program. Apart from it, many more companies visit the campus, and the maximum package till now is 15 lakhs (MBA). The placement department is average only. Our department did not have an Entrepreneur Cell but few years one of the students developed his own OS.

College Events

4.5

JASHAN is the 3 days long annual fest of the university where all departments compete in various events. Apart from it, various departments organize fests on their behalf like my dept organizes Polaris-Tech Fest. University organizes many national level sports events and last year it also organized Inter-University Youth Festival in which all colleges and universities of North India took part.

Campus Life

4.5

Infrastructure is really great. Have indoor sports stadium, gym, professional cycling track, lots of greenery, wifi for hostel students, a very big library where you will get the book for every subject with a capacity of around 600-700 students, and maintained labs.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

In the first year, you get 4 sharing rooms and from the second year, you get 2 sharing rooms. Rooms are good they may appear small at first but they are really sufficient as they are alloted. Mess food is average. If you may not get a hostel there are a lot of PGs in front of the university.

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro, cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed. The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

Remarks:

Good staff are very nice and supportive nature. There are not any faculty problem. Functions are organized in a very large scale which is very good. Ragging are strictly banned in college which is very good for fresher students. BAD: lack of equipment and machines in labs. Lack of practical knowledge for students.
