Course Curriculum Overview
Every year the they add some new topics or courses to the plan. They provide a lot of alternative subject every semester to students so that they can opt additional subjects. Also they have summer exchange programs as they had collaborated with various foreign universities.
Internships Opportunities
I have worked with ThinkNext Technologies Pvt. Ltd. As an intern. Basically i developed machine learning skills there and applied those skills to build many prediction systems in the starting and right now i am working on machine vision. No stipend was given at that time to me.
Placement Experience
As i have mentioned earlier also this university is specifically known for placements records. Each year this university breaks his own records of placement. Almost 100% placements are provides by this university to the students.
College Events
If i say about cultural events, they are just awesome at it, every time in cultural fest we have some celebrities in the evening. Also technical events of interdeparment are going on through out the year.
Fees and Financial Aid
They give scholarship for SC/ST 10% less in semester fees and also for the defence quota 10% is being deducted from the semester fees. Also if anybody’s annual income is less than 1.5 lacs and he or she is SC/ST then they have to very small amount or money as semester fees.
Campus Life
Very good infrastructure i would say excellent infrastructure. High profile labs for practicals. Very good facility for sports, we have a separate sports complex for the students so that they can practice well for their sports. Also they conduct Model united nations every year so that different colleges can participate.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel infrastructure is best they have various varieties of rooms like 2 seater, 3 seater , 4 seater and 5 seater depending upon the fees allocated by the hostel department of chandigarh university. They provide free wifi access download whatever you want you have a lot of internet there. Talking about the hygiene the hostels are very clean, 2 staff workers are allocated at each floor of the hostel from 9:00am to 5:00pm for maintaining the hygiene on each floor. So don’t worry about hostel. Hostel life at Chandigarh university is memorabel.
