Course Curriculum Overview

Course consists of 8 semesters. Internal exams is of 50% and end semester exams is of about 50%. Internals will have 3 exams and will be taken best out of 2. If we are satisfied with the marks in first two exams we can skip the third exam. Exam is conducted at the end of each semester.

College Events

Daksh is Inter college Technical fest. Kuruksastra is inter college cultural fest. I had participated in all the events and won many prizes. Also there are many intra college departments where we had organised many events and also participated in most of the events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I had awarded many scholarship during my course of study. Especially Dean's list if we are in top 2-10%.

Campus Life

Ratio is pretty 50-50. May it be any events like technical or cultural. We always see equal amount of participation. One more good thing is there is no gender discrimination I had observed during my entire course of study. There is no name for Ragging or Racism.

Hostel Facilities

Yes there are all kinds of sharings are available. Basically we prefer single sharing. But there are 4 sharing, 3 sharing & 2 sharing as well. Depending on the options we chose fees varies. Rent is also reasonable.

Network was beautiful where we can share our experiences and help to our friends who are in dire need of jobs.

Admission

My passion towards the course made me to chose. Start Date: 14th July, 2011. End Date: 25th May, 2015. Admission involved interview followed by course selection. Later they allocated the course then follows the payment method. Finally selection is made for hostel.

Lectures are well experienced. Median age of professors is 45. Most of them had done their PhD. Few of them are doing their research in the university itself. Others had experience in few companies (MNC's) and they are pretty experienced.Their teaching knowledge was awesome.

Here there is no gender separation like boys and girls should be seperate and stuff like that.
It is a autonomous college so courses are changing regularly with the shift in education
Here we have relative grading system therefore there is no ranking and easy to get good grades

Dislikes

We have to pay yearly fees not semester wise it difficult for low income earning families
Money is collected from students for all events happening in the college.
There is a rush for collection of fees at the start of each year and unpaid students might face absent issues

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are moderate but i don't know much about other courses but for civil engineering the average placed ctc is 3 lakh per annum one or two students got higer package but most of the students got lower package as a fresher.

The reason i choose this college because of the really good placements available in it. The different between the college i applied for and sastra will be Reputation: In my surroundings sastra have a great goodwill and Reputation compared to other colleges.
