Research Oriented University

Overall management is very supportive. One of the best thing about our college is that it more emphasize on research programmes.

Our course curriculum is designed by our vice chancellor of University. I matched myself the course curriculum with some foreign universities and it is mostly same i.e. we are gaining knowledge of higher level. Talking about examination, all the questions are not straight forward. The questions are generally value based like what you will do in that case.

The number of companies visited for our seniors are very high. There are 300 students in my senior batch and 250 of them got placed in very reputed companies. Talking about internships one can do the summer internship at campus also or they can enroll themselves in any of the organisation but one has to take NOC from the college to do internship in other organisation. I have done sunmer internship in ITC India in my last summer.

There are many events held at our university listed below: 1. Youth festival 2. Tech fest 3. CU fest 4. Tashan Nites( music festival) 5. Sports day and much more. There are many more festival organised at some intervals regularly by our college. One can enroll themselves to their interests.

According to quality of education and comparing chandigarh university with all the nearby colleges in mohali area, i think chandigarh university is the best college to whom one can afford easily. If i compare to other colleges the fee structure for the same course is much higher as compared to chandigarh university.

There are different categories for scholarship. I got scholarship on the basis of merit i.e. on the basis of aggregate i got in 12th class.

Campus life at chandigarh university is very awesome. After college hours students can also take part in sports activities. There is well equipped sports complex with all the sports equipments. One student can enroll himself/ herself in his/her favourite sport. There are different fests organise at some intervals of time like youth festival, tech fest etc. There are many competition available in tech fest in which they can enroll themselves according to their interests.

During first two year of my degree i lived in hostel. Chandigarh University hostels are 4 bed hostels and are well equipped with all the facilities which one need in day to day life. Then in third year i left the hostel and started living in rental flats nearby my college. The rent of my 3 bhk flat is 15000 and we live 4 persons in one flat.

There are regular sessions held at the beginning of each semester the students or alumini of our college who got placed from our college and working in reputed companies.

I recieved a phone call from the University and they told me about the local office in my city. Then i visited there and gathered some information about my course. Then i showed up my marks and i got scholarship too on the basis on my marks. The admission process is quite simple on the basis of the university test i.e. CUCAT and if you have good aggregates then you can apply directly for the admission process.

All the faculty members at our college are PHD holders. Lectures are taken by faculty members through PPT's and they share ppt to the students after the lecture. They are very supportive and always encourage us to do the research work. Talking about our HOD sir, he is very humble and always teach us to do innovative projects.
