Remarks

They provide the admissions purely on merit basis. Rules and regulations are well in deciplined in SASTRA university and no other universities maintain their students under such care according to me. They will take the whole responsibility of every individual inside the campus. Nice placement opportunities are provided and that too for each and every individual. I highly recommend this as one of the best place for a person to learn how to live including studies. To be frank we learn character more than studies here which is the major positive side of this reputed university. We can find versatile people from all over India here. This university is affordable to anyone. In fact this is the only one that provides education in low wages. Overall we can tick mark most of the boxes that can be in our wish list for this university.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Various courses are provided in this university. I chose mechanical engineering BTech. But I recommend others to take computer science or any other software related course because in India the present situation makes you choose the software field. High opportunities and preferences are for computer science students.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

They provide internships within campus and also recommend few outside campus. All this depends on the faculty and his contacts.

Placement Experience

3.5

All students are allowed for placements. And as I already mentioned you that software opportunities are higher many software companies come for hiring. Even other branch students get placed in software companies. Other branch opportunities are a bit low here.

Fees and Financial Aid

When I studied 45000 per semester was the fee structure. The hostel rooms were 10k to 20k per year according to your selection. Every month around 3.5k was the mess fee. Apart from these, they provide scholarships every year based on attendance in class, hostel and performance. Various types of scholarships that include branch wise merit scholarships and hostel scholarships so on were given to top performers.

Campus Life

4.5

Two fests one was inter-university and other was the biggest open fest in which every university compete in cultural activities. There is a big central library and most supportive staff in the library. All kinds of sports indoor and outdoor were played. Sports fest was separate for all the students and whoever was interested can participate and will be given prizes like cash and certificates.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Staying in a hostel inside the campus is highly recommend. Because the availability of nearby rooms near campus is very low or else you have to come way long if you stay outside. Within the campus, there are 5 hostels. First year hostel is fixed and common and from the second year, it's your choice to select which one do you want. Every hostel has its own mess contract. Each person has their individual opinions on their food. Most people don't like food as it gets boring when every week the same food is served. The taste was not bad. The person who can adjust can eat daily. But most people go out to eat once or twice a week depending on menu inside hostel.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it covers important subjects related to computer science, programming, databases, networking, and emerging technologies. The combination of theoretical knowledge and practical subjects influenced my decision to choose this course. The curriculum provides a good foundation in technical concepts and programming. However, more practical projects, industry-based training, internships, and real-world applications would help students become better prepared for careers and further studies.
