Law as a career is good and Law College Dehradun will make it best.

The Faculty of my College is very cooperative and eager to help students even after classes. Healthy environment with Mountains and a river touching the college. Hygenic food in a hostel with clean toilets and good medical facilities. There are no bad aspects of Law college Dehradun. Admission can be done on the basis of the 12th Mark Sheet. Minimum of 45% for General and 40% for SC, ST, and OBC is required to get admission. One has to submit the Admission fees or before admission, one can move to college and talk to students about the study. Reason to prefer this College over others is the locality of the college in my State and its goodwill including Dean of the College Mr. Rajesh Bahuguna Sir who is a renowned person in the field of law. It was my dream to be a Lawyer yo serve society while earning money. And help the poor people with free legal aid. Protect the rights of the individual. A maximum of 60 students in class with 8-9 facility members. If we talk of ratio in total.15 professors in 200 students. 1 professor for every 13 students. It is a good ratio. The faculty is well qualified in their particular field. Many of the professors are M.Phill from Delhi University or Doctorate from a recognized University. Gold Medalist from Banaras Hindu University. Ex-Judge of District Court Assam teaching Civil Procedure Code. Every teacher has its own method to teach but a common guideline is to give brief pf subject then prepare a skeleton of rules and then covering it up slowly with tests and presentation at the end. There are 2 semesters in a year. Every semester is divided into Internal exams of 30 Marks and Main External for 70 Marks at a gap of 2 months which are added at the end. Difficult to pass is upon the student

The students can go for internships at their own will to any of the Courts, High Courts or Supreme Courts or in any other Company during vacation. 5 internships are compulsory that is 1 each year and certificates for internships are to be submitted at the end of the Course. Only 1 internship in the 10th semester is held as a part of the course by name of Court Training. Where a student is sent to lawyers in District Court Dehradun of Civil and Criminal for a period of 15 days each.

Students become eligible for placement from the 9th Semester onwards. The written exam is conducted and on its basis students are selected. Companies like Wipro and 2 to 3 legal Firms with National status visited the College. The highest package for students last year was 2.4 lakh per year. The average package was 1.5 lakh per year. 5-10% of the student who applied got placed in companies. My plan is to practice as an Advocate.

There are no such fees hike policy and fees not necessarily increasing with every semester. There is a fixed fee and depends upon subjects and total faculty engaged with other activities. There is a difference between fee structure for Students outside Uttarakhand and Students Domiciled in Uttarakhand in which the latter has 12% of rebate in Fees throughout the Course. The total cost for study for Non-Domiciled is near about 7 lakh and for Domiciled is 5.5 lakh. Students with Scholarships are entertained here and are provided financial assistant as per the scholarship. I did not need a job from there as I am a practicing Advocate. But there is a Placement Cell and the student is assisted in fullest. Companies conduct exams and students willing can apply and passed students get the job. Currently, many students are working for legal firms throughout the Country with a 20k salary.

The annual fest is conducted by Uttaranchal University where intra college and inter-college competitions are held and it goes to 4 days. A singer or a celebrity is invited on the last day of the fest. Games like Cricket, Basketball, Volleyball, and others are played throughout the year for the overall development of students. An indoor game like Chess is famous with a prize for the winner and runner up. Library of law college is fully acquainted with all the latest journals and books on every subject required by student with AIR books of every year for case laws. With daily newspapers of 8 types. Students can take books on their Id Cards and study during exams. Classrooms are well equipped with 8 tube lights 4 fans and a window for fresh air with curtains and a whiteboard with benches comfortable to study. There is Legal Aid Society, Moor Court Society, Debating Society run by students, and is checked by Faculty. Legal Aid Society conducts free legal aid in rural areas conducting Free Legal Aid.
