Remarks

There is not a single negative remark about the college. The fees is feasible with amazing faculties that will take care of your future. The college also has anti ragging clubs. The surrounding of our college is also very pleasant.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is easy and simple to understand. But the curriculum of our college is to strictly follow the rules of the university. The subjects are same as of other colleges, but the exam structure is a bit different as the college makes sure that monthly tests will be done in every course.

Placement Experience

The placement makers invites various companies that will recruit us (students) in their companies. The internship are also provided to the students, but it totally depends on students that weather they are interested in doing internship or not. But the internship is compulsory.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees of our college is feasible. The fees structure is easy to understand as well as easy to pay as our college accepts all kind of mediums like cash, G pay, Paytm, cheque, etc. The fees for BA course is rupees 18,000 per year.

Campus Life

The gender ratio in our college of boys and girls is 2:1. Athletic meets are always organised in our college, once a year in which only Vimala College students can participate. Labs, seminar hall and library are also well organised.

Admission

Admission in this college is on the basis of merit i.e the score of candidate in his or her class 12. For admission process the candidate have to score atleast 50% in his or her 10+2 grade. The candidate can fill the admission form online or offline which ever suits them.

The faculty of our college is humble as well as are highly experienced in their field of work. They try to make every single thing regarding studies easy so that each and every student can understand it.

Experiences so far

Likes

My experience at lissah has been mixing of challenges. Psychology depart has supportive teachers and classes is good
Campus is peaceful and it’s so greenery there are opportunities to take part in different academics
I also like that the psychology department has its own lab and practical exposure and Lissah is well known for psychology itself

Dislikes

I feel that there could be more programmes activities and opportunities for students to make college life
Location could feel like quiet and it’s not in town area
Those who prefer more active atmosphere I would not recommend here

I chose bsc psychology because I was interested in understanding human behaviour. The curriculum covers different areas of psychology along with subjects such as major psychology minor statistics and physiology then English mdc . Since I am still in my first year I have only experienced the initial part of course

Faculties are good. Most them are very friendly
Class rooms and canteen are also good. Not the best
Fees are very low comparing to other collages

Dislikes

Not giving good placements. Only 1 or 2 good companies good. Others are average
I'm not interested hostel. But my friends in hostel always saying that the food is not good.
Some faculties are not treat all the students equal. Not every only some

Placement Experience:

Placement are not the best. But EY , federal bank, TCS are some the prominent companies that are coming. The negative thing about placement is most of them are offering marking jobs. So if you are someone who is interested in operations this is not the collage you want to in.

Likes

Decent infrastructure. hostel infrastructure is also clean and better than most colleges

Dislikes

Very poor campus life. No importance for cultural programmes and activities
Very poor and degrading environment for women. Faculties and other staff are very judgemental.
Very low packages for average students. Placement training is regularly being provided, but it is too hectic to be managed along with curriculum.

Placement Experience:

students become eligible for placements after sixth semester. Major companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, e.t.c are recruiters. about 5-10 students are recuited on average by these companies. highest package was offered by south indian bank in 2023 (10 LPA). average packges are around 2 to 3 LPA.

TIST , Great college , fun events and more

Likes

Our seniors passed out with flying colors joining different companies or starting their own. There's a good focus on peer learning and student communities which is pretty nice. Canteen food is decent and labs are great
Most people and professors are friendly and they encourage you to try out new things.

Dislikes

Hostel water , busses are pretty fast. Sometimes roads are a bitt rough

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Likes

I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials

Dislikes

College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

My dear college

Likes

I liked the atmosphere the college offers and the facilities for studying
The sports facilities are pretty good considering the supplements they have
The library got my attention since it has alot of books and its the centre of attraction of the college

Dislikes

The college doesn't provide any placements and job opportunities
The college doesn't provide any pool options for swimming lessons
Teachers get changed every now and then this makes the continuity of the lessons very hard

Course Curriculum Overview:

The social service got my eyes on this course. The intention of creating the mentality of helping others by social service made me join the course. This course provides a great service towards the betterment of future and people in it.

Programs and activities are good and the support
Good support for the sports and highly skill atheletes

Exams are conducted without a gap in between
There are a lot of assignment often for the students

After 6 th semester students become eligible for placements . It's in the final years . Many companies have visited the college and made offers for the students like Wipro,Tenzo tech , infopark etc Around 70 Percent students get placement

Yeah well, positive things are there. I got many friends. I got a degree. I learned much personal and professional knowledge. I also learned how to live independently for 4 years without parents alone somewhere.

I applied to colleges like MCC,Chennai ;Colleges under Kannur University, Kerala University etc. I selected this college as this is a women's college at first .Eventhough its an all girls institution, the exposure we get here is limitless . Here they foster self love and leadership qualities in every women . We become so free in communicating various taboo subjects . Once we leave this college after the course we are equipped with all life lessons sd qualities that we need in our lives. I Got rejections from colleges under Kannur university,I think its due to the board that I studied because, the universities considers government school students first and then privately owned CBSE school students next . My college is Autonomous and it has its own admission procedures .
