My Engineering Journey

The course curriculum was pretty structured an detailed. The department has multiple research areas like Network Security, Computer Networks, Big Data Analytics, Cloud Computing, Image and Video Processing, Pattern Recognition, Soft Computing, Machine Learning, Information Retrieval and Information Security. Many workshops as well as events are held regularly for the development of the students. The focus is mostly on classroom based education.

The university organizes Joint Campus Placement Drive and Job Fests for the students. Many companies like Nagarro, Byju's, SKYACH Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd, Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger, Shriram Transport Finance Company Ltd, IBM India Pvt. Ltd, US Tech Solutions, Amazon and many other companies offer job opportunities to the student. I received an offer letter from Nagarro and my stipend is around 3.5 LPA, after completion of the training period.

Many events are organized in my college, and especially in our department like Huaweii ICT Skill India Competition, 4 Months Training at CDAC with Microsoft on Network Security and others. Other cultural events like Mimicry, Singing, Poster Making and others are also organized.

The university offers different scholarships on the basis of the JEE rank. If a student's JEE rank is 50,000 or above, they give a 100% full scholarship to the student. If a student's rank is 50,000 to 1,00,000, the student gets a 75% scholarship. If a student's rank is 1,00,000 to 2,00,000, the student gets a 50% scholarship. If a student's rank is 2,00,000 to 2,50,000, the student gets a 25% scholarship.

Multiple events take place in the department such as Diwali Celebrations, LINUX workshop, Workshop on Digital Self Defence Security, Freshers Party, Techfest I.T. Quiz, Workshop on Machine Learning, Workshop on Android App Development and many other events.

I opted for Hostel accommodations, and there are two girls hostels and one boys hostel at the main campus. Both of the girls hostels have 76 rooms each and they provide accommodations to 94 students. They have 144 rooms in the boys hostel and provide accommodations to 288 students. They have both single and double occupancy rooms. The hostels have multiple features like Wi-Fi, Indoor Games, Playfields and others.

I always wanted to pursue my career in Computer Science & Engineering, and hence, I applied in this College, through their online admission portal, after I completed my 10+2 exam. The compulsory subjects required to apply in this course are Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science. No interview was held, but you need to have a valid JEE rank to apply. This is mandatory to apply in the BTECH course. Also, they have an option of pre-registration. You can keep yourself pre-registered, and then wait for your JEE rank to apply.

We have 5 faculty members, and they are highly qualified and experienced in the field. The Head of Department, Dr. Monika Sachdeva has 21 years of experience and specializes in Network Security. All the other Assistant Professors also have more than 6 years of working experience and specializes in varied areas.
