Average engineering college.

Its a good college college management or the administration could be better than how it is managed sometimes I feel like all the government clerks have resigned their jobs to join our college to pursue their career. Some people are good and very responsive to the needs of the students. Overall there is huge scope for improvement as far as administration is concerned.

Common Entrance Test (CET). I got 8333 all Karnataka engineering rank i opted this college to get my preferred branch, that is Electronics. I had an option to opt another college over this one but I thought taking up Electronics would be wiser and it was also a trend that most of the bright students take electronics as their domain in Engineering. I was also told that Electronics is an ever green subject.

Course curriculum was very strict as the syllabus and the examination papers were centrally controlled by VTU - Visveshwaraiah Technological University, headquartered in Belgaum, Karnataka. However the teaching methodologies could have been better than the typical class room learning.

We did not have any internship experience in fact the culture of Internship was not there at the time when I was doing engineering. As a matter of fact some of my classmates had difficulty to conduct their projects in the last semester as college didn't have any tie up with the core industries or the companies. The place, mysore, not being industrialized city also plays the spoil sport.

We didn't have any placements in our college we had tie ups with other leading colleges of mysore and mandya for placements of the students of our college. In-spite of having one of the best infrastructures among-st other colleges in mysore, It was strange for students to go to other colleges for campus placements. This again shows that management had not reached out to many companies.

We had different college events through out the year different departments had different events designed from electronics department we had yearly event. In this even we had technical presentation and cultural events towards the end of the event usually we use to conduct the event for 2 or 3 days.

Fee structure is feasible there are three kinds of seats government seats and payment seats and then there is management seats. Management seats are expensive government seats are very affordable and the payment seats are also feasible.

There were no scholarship offered by the college nor there were any donors for the same education load had to taken by the students on their own capacity with the help of their parents.

The campus life was good it mostly depends on the friends we choose by the end of 1st semester different groups were formed all these groups mostly stayed till the end of the engineering college.

Mess food is very bad we didn't have any hostel facilities as we had very few takers for the same we mostly had students who were living with their family members. Some were living far off but they managed to commute to college on daily basis from their places. The outstation students managed in privately run paying guest rooms near college and in other parts of the city as per their preference this college should not have the hostel facility as I feel, even on the long run, there will be no takers for the same.

Each department has its own alumni network electronics department too has its alumi network and we keep getting emails on different activities and the meets conducted by the college.

Every semester had 6 subjects and 2 laboratory subjects at the end of every semester we had final exams which had theoretical and Problematic question papers for 100 marks for each of these subjects and 25 marks for the internal assessment of each subject. 50 marks each for 2 laboratory exams best of 3 internal assessments were considered and the averaged marks was considered for totaling at the end of the semester along with the final exam score.

Over all faculty is average some of the faculty are really good but some are not that good. Most of the faculty in the first year were good from 2nd year to the last year, I found some of the faculty were really good and they had very good hold of the subject there were some new faculties who lacked experience.
