Remarks
I would say the college and college management is really great. Even if Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode is new as compared to IIM Bangalore or IIM Ahmadabad , they have created a real great image. This was the first IIM to get affiliated by AMBA. If we see for excutive MBA, I would say this is the best IIM. They provide very special preference to executive MBA.
Entrance Preview
EMAT, They don't announce the exact score for EMAT. I believe compared to other IIMs, IIM Kozhikode Executive MBA course is really better. This is the only AMBA affiliated executive MBA.
Course Curriculum Overview
First year is on General Management. Second your we can opt for two specializations among 1) Finance 2) Marketing 3) Strategy 4) Operations and 5) IT. I think last year they have added HR as well.
Internships Opportunities
There was no campus interviews for Executive MBA. For regular MBAs many top companies visit the campus. I believe for executive MBA it may not be needed to provide campus placement.
Placement Experience
There was no placement assistance for the executive MBA batch. I am not sure about the recent batches.
College Events
For executive MBA we visit the campus nearly three times in the entire two year program. The stay varies from 1 week to 10 days every time. During these stay we do arrange some cultural programs among ourselves.
Fee Structure And Facilities
During 2010-2012, the fee structure was 6 lakhs for the entire course. I believe now it's some where nearly 8 lakhs for the entire program. As compared to IIM Bangalore fee structure, it's quite feasible.
Fees and Financial Aid
They don't have any scholarship for executive MBA programs. The college have tie up with many national banks and well known private banks. So getting education loan is very easy for this program.
Campus Life
The culture of the institute is really good. They provide special preference to girl students. IIM kozhikode was the first IIM to come up with 30 % quota for girls. The campus life is really great. We have a very huge library.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facilities are really exceptional. You will feel like you are in a star hotel on top of a hill station. All hostel rooms are AC rooms with all the basic amenities available.
Alumni/Alumna
The Alumni network is really good. We perform Alumni meet once in a year and cover it outside India as well through video conference. The executive MBA Alumni need to participate actively. I believe we are in right direction for the improvement of Alumni network.
Exam Structure
The exam format is really strict. Even if it's called as executive MBA but the assignments, case studies and final exams are very much stringent like regular MBAs.
Faculty
I would say faculty are the best in India specially in Finance management. The faculties are very rich in industrial experience along with domain expertise.
