Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is an enriching one. Any person who loves arts subject should definitely take it up. With subjects like History, Sociology, Political science and Economics, a wholesome experience of increasing understanding in the field of arts is achieved. I appreciated the curriculum structure as an easy flow was created and we could highlight how the subjects were interdependent.

Placement Experience

4.5

The average package INR 4-5 LPA. We get companies like Infosys, Microsoft, Accenture etc. There are any reputed companies that come for placements and if our track record is a good one, we get upto 15LPA packages.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The total fees is about INR2000 for Indian students in Karnataka and INR4500 for Non-Karnataka Indian students. Also, INR 8000 is to be paid for getting the eligibility certificate. It is a small fee when compared to the stipend offered by companies that come for placements.

Campus Life

There are many sports activities and competitions. There are fests and cultural events organised as well. The college is very welcoming to people of all colors and ethnicity. The students and faculty are well informed of the actions taken against bullies and offenders. All events and competitions are enjoyed by equal and enthusiastic performance of students.

Admission

I chose this course as it is one of the best courses and is also from a reputed university. Firstly, an account has to be made on the admission portal. The application form has to be filled with the past education and required documents. The marks from previous education and school name has to be mentioned. Some other documents are mandatory for identification. Once you are done, there will be merit list and if you are selected, your name will appear.

Faculty

5

The faculty is a brilliant batch of professors. They are approachable and not too formal. I would go to them for advice on my future career aspects as well as doubts and clarification. I have never felt dumb for asking repetitive questions as every doubt is valued anf the faculty members are dedicated to all students.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As i have opted the course B.Pharmacy! I rate the course as optimal, neither too bad nor too good, its medium! Now comes on teaching method, some teachers are really well and good and few are those who does not teaches but only writing writing, thats it, they will not explain at all! And one thing they should change is that All Courses except B.Pharmacy in Chandigarh University have the criteria to pass the student even below the 40% only or the half of the highest number scored by the topper in the class, and for Bpharmacy its minimum requirement to pass the exam is 50%, Oh My God! This needs to be changed, Now every year, in Bpharmacy, the overall 80% students are getting Compartments (Back/Fail) in the subjects, but the University is not understanding it all. So this should be changed as earlier!

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
