Remarks

As mentioned in my statement, this college was the best I could have asked for. It was very fun and educational at the same time. I have been living a great life till now and all because of my time in the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The Course Curriculum is pretty fair, there are 15, 20, 15, 15, 15 seats respectively for Chemistry, Maths, Physics, Botany, Zoology. Frankly, there weren? many facilities regarding any serious research, which is understandable as it is based in Tinsukia(a very small district), so we were not allowed to visit lab until examination comes, which then becomes mandatory. My journey in this college was quite Chilled as there wasn? much competition in the college and I have been always considered a prodigy. There are 6 semesters and accordingly exams are conducted.

Placement Experience

2.5

There are various internships which are offered to the students to start their professional career. Also, there are online internships available, in which students can work from home or anywhere. But there weren? many opportunities regarding college placement.

College Events

5

Some national events include Independence day, Republic day and a very popular festival of Bihu(A festival of Assam), and so on. College events like Freshers' day are also celebrated. Teachers also get participate in the events and are quite treat the student as their equal.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As I mentioned earlier my main reason to join this college was how cheap it was. A total of ?17,690 will be spent after 3 years of B.Com, nearly 3,000 each semester. One can also apply for scholarships if they are incapable of paying the fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

Free studentship to Meritorious Students: Free studentship to Meritorious Students securing 90% and above marks in the last qualifying Examinations. Free studentship to National Level Child Scientist and 50% fee concession to State Level Child Scientist of National Children Science Congress (NCSC). Free admission to the toppers in the HS First Year Examination in Arts, Commerce and Science streams.

Campus Life

We?e provided the basic extracurricular activities and offered many clubs to join into. The labs were only allowed during exams. Sports were organized as by any other college, there were district and state level competitions.

Hostel Facilities

I haven? opted for hostel so there isn? much I can tell you about it. There is space for 84 students in boys?hostel and 54 for girls?hostel. Also i haven? heard anything about someone being ragged so I guess there shouldn? be much trouble.

Alumni/Alumna

The senior students were quite frank with us. First, I was scared of ragging but there wasn? anything like that , in fact they always helped us throughout the college and I did the same for my juniors. So I think, treating juniors with kindness is a kind of tradition.

Admission

As I was living in Assam and my parents weren? keen on sending me away from my hometown I had to choose from all the college in the town. Honestly, it was rather cheap considering how many facilities it was providing. There wasn? any kind of interview or entrance exam. The admission was totally based on marks from previous examinations of the student. To get admission one had to fill the Admission Application via website, photograph, signature, mark sheet, caste certificate in Photo & Document are required during registration. On the date of admission, applicants need to come with all original documents along with the print copy of the Application form. The fees can be paid by Credit Card / Debit/ Net banking/UPI. Also, there isn? any way to get the registration done by any offline method.

Faculty

4.5

Each teacher has a Masters degree in there respective subjects. I personally think that the faculty was far better than any other college in the area. And no matter who one might ask, they will get a good review.

Course Curriculum Overview:

See I had the passion for civil since my 10th std. I am really happy about my course . Because there are many job opportunities in govt sector in Assam. I like the teachers of my dept but some are not that friendly . Maybe it depends upon their mood sometimes I don't know really . The civil course is practical it's enjoyable. I would have liked it more if it would had more placement opportunities on campus . Otherwise it's fine
