Entrance Preview

I took AIEEE examination in year 2012 & I scored 47 marks but I didn't choose college on the behalf of my marks. I took admission in CU as my friend were there & I heard about college that it's good. I opt civil engineering because it has a wide scope now a days.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course curriculum of the CU is very good and effectively conducting. Timely completion of every subject and they included each and every subject related to the course. They have added some other subjects also which improves our skills .

Internships Opportunities

In my college students have lot of opportunities to get placed in good companies. Lot of companies are coming of every stream and offering good package . If any one wants to go for private sector my college is the best place for him. Highest package is of 22 lacs. and minimum of 3.3 lacs gets everyone.

Placement Experience

Companies are wipro , congnisent , dell, HP, tech mahindra , airtel , john deer, L&T , HCL , and many more good companies which I m not knowing aa I m from civil. Minimum package offered is of 3.3 lacs and maximum offered till is 22 lacs . In last 2 year more than 2000 students get placed.

College Events

4.5

Our college celebrates both cultural and technical fest and in these many colleges from outside participate in large number. Our fests are very good we love to watch them.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is feasible . It's like other colleges not so expensive like I pay 48000 per semester for civil engineering. Opportunities for SC/ST students are there as no fee is there for them .

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship is there for Jammu and Kashmir students and minority communities scholarship is there. I got scholarship for Sikh minority and I got 25000 rupees. Scholarship for SC/ST student are there.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel fee is 75000 per annum including mess food . Four students share one room . But mess food is not so good like home .

External Expense: Rs. 4000 - Rs. 7000

Exam Structure

We find labs and exam a chilled out. Labs are fully equipped and have well space to perform our work . Lab instructor are also very nice they help us very nicely . Exam are conducted in good manner and exam sheets are shown to us also.

Exploring life at Chandigarh University

Likes

Good and modern campus infrastructure. The university is large, modern with good classrooms, labs, hostels and tec.
Most teachers are knowledgeable, supportive and explain concepts clearly.
The university provides placement drives, training sessions, career guidance and etc.

Dislikes

Large student intake. Due to high number of students, sometimes it can be difficult to get individual attention from faculty.
During peak hours, some areas of the campus can be crowded.
The quality of hostel food is not much satisfying.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Chandigarh University are generally good, with students becoming eligible for campus placements in the later semesters, dependiing on their course. Many companies visit the campus for recruitment, offering roles in IT, engineering, management and other fields. The packages vary by company and profile with some students receiving high packages while others get average entry-level offers. Placement opportunities depend on student skills, academic performance and interview preparation. After completing my degree, I plan to secure a good job in my field, gain practical experience and continue developing my technical and professional skills.
