Remarks

Good things are it is disciplined strtict in terms of Ragging etc. Few legacy policies which will make the studfents to worry about.

Entrance Preview

I was selected based on my intermediate % score (+2 % score )Most of the lecturers near home town suggested job guaranteed.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course was medium. Not too easy not too tough. An average guy can get on with putting most effort. Only few cream can be the toppers . An average can be the best with working hard.

Internships Opportunities

I have no experience with stipend offered. Internship in college was decent .Internal faculty guides us how to do project with internship and we get guest faculty guidance also some times.

Placement Experience

Excellent. I was very happy of with the opportunities from the college provided regarding placements. Companies like TCS, infosys, wipro,IBM with a package of Rs 3 Lakhs for freshers.

College Events

Daksh - technical fest, Kuruk SASTRA - cultural fest. Few paper presentation programs and few robotic events. Some cultural programs like telugu lits, tamil lits, english lits.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is a bit expensive and middle class people would think twice to afford on the fee structure. I feel a bit expensive on the fee structure.

Fees and Financial Aid

Few students who are deans listed will be provided with few scholarship for that year. College doesn't provide any loans to the students but scholarships are also very less.

Campus Life

Labs are good. Sports there are facilities like cricket ground ,shuttle,Gym, basket ball, table tennis, snookers etc. Robotics, events like debaters are frequently organised. overall satisfactory.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel rooms were ok but not too good not too bad . But the food is worst we have ever seen in almost all the years.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

They form a groups to help the junior colleges . Seniors also share the books to the juniors . Seniors will also organise the sessions to juniors which help to move in right path.

Exam Structure

Labs are decent with good access and some time cse few lab assistants are very low with quality of the guidance.

Overall faculty of the college is average in terms of quality of delivery in lecturers. But we have a right to choose the sections for every semester based on the faculties.

the classrooms in specialization are air conditioned
faculty is supportive for academic growth

the attendance is strict at 75% and subject attendances upto 80%
you cannot exit campus before 3.15 pm under any circumstances

The placements are very decent and they provide internships as early career opportunities as well in 3rd year of studies and the college possess high conversion rates through these internships which support the resume with actual corporate exposure

Calm and Student-Friendly at DMI College of Engineering

Likes

The college provides a friendly and supportive learning environment.
Most faculty members are approachable and helpful, especially when students need academic guidance

Here there is no gender separation like boys and girls should be seperate and stuff like that.
It is a autonomous college so courses are changing regularly with the shift in education
Here we have relative grading system therefore there is no ranking and easy to get good grades

Dislikes

We have to pay yearly fees not semester wise it difficult for low income earning families
Money is collected from students for all events happening in the college.
There is a rush for collection of fees at the start of each year and unpaid students might face absent issues

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are moderate but i don't know much about other courses but for civil engineering the average placed ctc is 3 lakh per annum one or two students got higer package but most of the students got lower package as a fresher.

High fees the government college but charging high fees making it difficult for students from lower income background to access quality education
often have limited seats dealing to intense competition and disappointment for some students
College provide only theoretical knowledge students for practical skills

It's like Schools .There will be special class if you didn't get much marks like schools .

Placement Experience:

From 5 th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placements. Lots of companies. The highest package is 26 lakhs and the average package is 1.5 lakhs. 98% of students get placed. Doing my best in a career as an entrepreneur.

The reason i choose this college because of the really good placements available in it. The different between the college i applied for and sastra will be Reputation: In my surroundings sastra have a great goodwill and Reputation compared to other colleges. Placements: sastra provide wide range of placements and opportunities while other colleges have limited options. Academic: sastra provide a great faculty , other diploma to add on which adds great value and research opportunities. I applied for sastra and srm in trichy, i got selected in both the colleges but i choose sastra Over srm. I choose sastra because of it's quality education. No, i did not get rejected for the colleges i applied for.
