Remarks

I would definitely recommend this college. It is one of the best colleges once can find in Tamilnadu.

Entrance Preview

I passed out of this college in 2005. I got through the internal assessment with respect to marks scored in Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science in 12th State Board Exam. The interview process involves the evaluation of the prospective student and the future goals on completion of the course. I chose this college because of the infrastructure, faculty and encouragement to extra curricular activities.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum includes theoretical and practical exposure. Field trips to various industries will kindle the thought process and know the opportunities in the real world. Tech fests are also actively held and participated. New technology experiments are also done in the state of the art laboratories.

The placement is confirmed in this institution. You get a chance to appear for multiple companies even with an offer in hand. IT based companies like Wipro, TCS, CTS, Infosys, Hexaware, Inautics are regular in picking up the cream of the lot.

Our college is an active participant and winner of National Institute of Technology (previously REC) Festember, We also participated in cultural events conducted by PSG Tech Coimbatore. We are regular winners of Sarang event conducted by IIT.

Fees Structure is increasing regularly. But, for the facilities and faculty it is worth the money spent. Fees is collected for every semester. It can be done online or over the counter.

The hostel mess is getting better every year. There are new varieties. A person for any part of India will get a chance to taste other states delicacy. There is are North Indian Mess South Indian Mess in the campus. Food tastes very good.

As alumnus we meet regularly and also get introduced to the recent passouts of our college. We try to learn the current trend of the students and expectations at present.

Exam Structure

Exams involved Theoretical and practical forms. Practical exams involves more of realtime problem solving. Theoretical exams are more thought provoking.

I would say the faculty of this college is the best. They are most caring and knowledgeable people on can find. The are is not scarcity of knowledge. All the teachers are approachable. The Head of the Department has a futuristic goal and very informative.

Here there is no gender separation like boys and girls should be seperate and stuff like that.
It is a autonomous college so courses are changing regularly with the shift in education
Here we have relative grading system therefore there is no ranking and easy to get good grades

Dislikes

We have to pay yearly fees not semester wise it difficult for low income earning families
Money is collected from students for all events happening in the college.
There is a rush for collection of fees at the start of each year and unpaid students might face absent issues

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are moderate but i don't know much about other courses but for civil engineering the average placed ctc is 3 lakh per annum one or two students got higer package but most of the students got lower package as a fresher.

The reason i choose this college because of the really good placements available in it.
