Remarks

KU provides good facilities including books accessible from the library .Just one drawback is that, since its located in one of the diverse city of typical Assamese community, Jorhat, people like almost all the students and half of the teachers communicate in Assamese. Even during lectures , some teachers proceed in Assamese so it becomes hard to understand. And most of the time, your opinion is not heard. Admission can be done online or offline. for odd semester ,admission is usually on July and for even , it is taken in the month of January. I chose KU because it provides recruitments for eligible students. I entered KU through a local Educational agent.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

I chose CSE out of my interest and also because of the vast demand for computer experts in the market. There are about 20-30 faculty members in the CSE dept. The class size is 70 which is divided to two sections. The faculty members bears masters degrees from different streams and some of them have renowned awards for their work in the field. KU uses digital teaching method. It provides students the access for advanced teaching techniques. There is just one exam for every semester and internal test are taken in between the semester ..Questions are asked on the basis of what is thought in the class

Internships Opportunities

Yes, KU provides internships to the students . Its not just in campus but also outside and by outside I mean even abroad if you are lucky and good enough. I know this because most of the seniors especially from CSE dept. ,they get internship opportunities from abroad companies.

Placement Experience

3

From the 7th semester ,you can get a college placement for a company. I am on the 2nd year so I don't have that knowledge about placement . After the degree I am planning to apply for internships and scholarship exams for studying abroad.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure is the same for all the 4 years of your study. The cost for the course is affordable and exceptionally cheap as compared to other private universities. You spend 90000 per year. And for the other things like your food and all that you can spend around 50 ,000( approx.) You can also reside in the university hostel itself. The hostel fees are: 4 seaters-70000/year 3 seater-90000/year 2 seaters -110000/year(along with AC) Do check the official website.

Campus Life

3

There isn't any annual fest but we have really big even conducted for three days mostly on the month of January called TALENT TANTRA where youths from different place come and expose their talents. About books in library, there are a number of books, latest magazines and journals, novels and course related books available for the students and teachers of the KU itself. KU have really cool classrooms with AC and fans along with projector . KU is the best place for pursuing your sports passion . We have basketball, football, volleyball ,cricket, badminton etc. and indoors like cheese, carom. Apart from that we have gym both boys and girls accessible for boarders. KU students have a creative mind. There is local service called "eco service" especially for students and hostellers for the university to reach them out with their needs.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

We have three categories of seaters; 4,3 and 2 seaters so the cost depends. Please check the official website of KU. For every room ,You've got a personal single bed along with sleeping matrix, personal wardrobe, bathroom attached, water and electricity 24/7, breakfast-lunch -dinner (Indian cuisine) There is not much is to be done for registration. You just have to pay for the fees at the time of your course registration and you've got your room. Since the hostel is providing enough facilities, the cost is fair enough. The one big opportunity for hostellers is that ,you can access to all the sports activity anytime and also walk around the campus .

Course Curriculum Overview:

See I had the passion for civil since my 10th std. I am really happy about my course . Because there are many job opportunities in govt sector in Assam. I like the teachers of my dept but some are not that friendly . Maybe it depends upon their mood sometimes I don't know really . The civil course is practical it's enjoyable. I would have liked it more if it would had more placement opportunities on campus . Otherwise it's fine

Its a good college. I feel lucky to read on this college. They faculty, the facilities is nice. The environment of the college is very good for education. The management cell of the college is also do grat jobs. But the main problem I have found is placement. According to the other colleges the placement of this college is not so good. If the college can give more placement then it will become a great college. Overall its a great college full of knowledge.
