Remarks

The campus life is good I am having great time here. The main vision of my college is of development of students personality. The allover course, infrastructure extracurricular activities and events are really good. I am experiencing good student life here.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum provides us with Modem Indian History & Political Science as the complimentary subjects. It's good and the course is well structured. The exams are Semistars based for the good Marks of students. So that every subject will be covered.

Placement Experience

The college do provide with placement recruitments and the placements cell help the students to do good in interviews and get the placements by the end of 3rd year. There are various programs or seminars conducted to improve the students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The main aim of my college is to provide education to the students who are either poor or are economically vulnerable so the fees for three years is Rs. 8,070 of my course Bachelor of Arts [BA] (Economics) and they provide help to students who are of minority or are economically weak or are good in academics.

Fees and Financial Aid

As my college is public. Its affiliated to kannur university. And the university provides with various scholarships schemes for the poor students or the students who are academically strong. There is also E-scholar registration available.

Campus Life

There are many extracurricular activities conducted throughout the year for the development of students. There are clubs such as quiz club, debate club, eco club for the students of my college. There are limited seats in every department for admissions. However my college's main aim is to provide education for all no matter of what's the cast, creed or gender.

Admission

To get admission here in my college we have to qualify 10+2 and the college conduct CAP for admission of the Academic year. Then after the application on the basis of rank you get the admission. I chose Bachelor of Arts [BA] (Economics) as I want to pursue my career as a professor of economics.

Faculty

The faculty is well qualified and are good in teaching. They try to help us and guide us as much as they can. They are very motivating humble and friendly teachers. And they try to teach in a very good manner so that each one of us understand well enough.

Experiences so far

Likes

My experience at lissah has been mixing of challenges. Psychology depart has supportive teachers and classes is good
Campus is peaceful and it’s so greenery there are opportunities to take part in different academics
I also like that the psychology department has its own lab and practical exposure and Lissah is well known for psychology itself

Dislikes

I feel that there could be more programmes activities and opportunities for students to make college life
Location could feel like quiet and it’s not in town area
Those who prefer more active atmosphere I would not recommend here

I chose bsc psychology because I was interested in understanding human behaviour. The curriculum covers different areas of psychology along with subjects such as major psychology minor statistics and physiology then English mdc . The sacrifices of students

Likes

The teachers and the classrooms. The facilities of yhe college also good
The teachers are very friendly and cares about students
The facilities like all the classes are smart

Dislikes

The hostel is too bad in the college very bad and the bathroom and toilet are very cleanless like indian railway
The food of the hostel is too bad we can get flies from the food
Some teachers are not studying proper they are just reading books and not explains

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because i heard that this course gives us many opportunity after graduation like in translation and we will able to speak arabic well. The teaching method was good but not now. Now all teachers are only reading books in classrooms The semester exams were between 3 months now from this academic year it will in 6 months

TIST , Great college , fun events and more

Likes

Our seniors passed out with flying colors joining different companies or starting their own. There's a good focus on peer learning and student communities which is pretty nice. Canteen food is decent and labs are great
Most people and professors are friendly and they encourage you to try out new things.

Dislikes

Hostel water , busses are pretty fast. Sometimes roads are a bitt rough

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials

Dislikes

College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

My dear college

Likes

I liked the atmosphere the college offers and the facilities for studying
The sports facilities are pretty good considering the supplements they have
The library got my attention since it has alot of books and its the centre of attraction of the college

Dislikes

The college doesn't provide any placements and job opportunities
The college doesn't provide any pool options for swimming lessons
Teachers get changed every now and then this makes the continuity of the lessons very hard

Course Curriculum Overview:

The social service got my eyes on this course. The intention of creating the mentality of helping others by social service made me join the course. This course provides a great service towards the betterment of future and people in it.

After 6 th semester students become eligible for placements . It's in the final years . Many companies have visited the college and made offers for the students like Wipro,Tenzo tech , infopark etc Around 70 Percent students get placement
