The curriculum for ECE involves the fundamentals of engineering with a focus on electronics. The labs are also frequent to help us understand the concept better. The exams are not burdensome and focus on course knowledge entirely.
We get many placement opportunities in our college. There is a placement cell and an Entrepreneurship Development Cell that provides funds for fresh graduates to help them with their start ups. HCL, DELL, Reliance etc are some of the companies that offer placements.
The total fees for the entire course is 2,10,000 rupees. It is divided into 60,000 rupees for the first year and 50,000 rupees for the rest three years. It is feasible when compared to other colleges offering the same course.
We have extracurricular activities apart from academics. The labs are also very good and provide extensive practical knowledge of the course. The campus environment is very peaceful and friendly with diverse student population.
The admission criteria involves TNEA entrance exam and it is mandatory to clear the entrance exam and make it through the cutoffs to get a spot in this college. After counselling and document approval I got the admission.
The faculty of the college involves lecturers who are very experienced and qualified for the jobs. They teach their subjects well and are very thorough with their concept explanation. They prepare us well.
There are much placement will be conducted in our college and they give placement training 1 week after that, the placement interview will start. Manu mnc companies and schools, colleges will come to choose their aspirant from 6 th semester, the students are eligible to attend the interview. The highest pack is about 10,000 and the average pack is 6,000 more than 80 percent of students will get a job.
The placement starts from the final year of every course students interested can enroll in the Career guidance cell of Stella Maris college, they give a brief training in aptitude GD, resume writing, and all. Many companies approach and some students do get opportunities.
The only reason for choosing this college for my Masters is that I did my B.Sc. from here and it provides decent facilities as compared to the fee and is near to my home as well. The admission process is quite simple as well.
There was no entrance . Just a cutoff, if you clear it you can take admission. My CBSE percentage ( best four) was 92.8 and I opted for bcom hons course. But still I got my name in the second merit list cz there is alot of competition.
L&T, Dabur, Nestle and many other big companies came for placement last year.Average package was of 700000 highest package was of 13.4 lac and around 80% students were placed in good and reputed companies.
The admission process followed by the Single window Counselling conducted by Anna University. And also the college provides admission through management quota i.e. the students who cannot participate in counseling can directly get admission through the college(they will be allotted seats only after the counseling seats are filled).

The admission into the college is done through the TNEA entrance exam. Every year MIT admissions are conducted for the students on the basis of cut off declared by Mahendra Institute of Technology on the basis of the entrance exam results.
Wipro, Harita TVS, Hexawera, Amazon, Flipkart and many other companies visited the college campus for recruitment. Most of the students get selected through the campus interview because the college starts the placement training in the second year itself.
