Remarks

Everything was good about my college the college infrastructure was quite good, and well-maintained labs helped me to practice well on my college premises. Also, the college premises was a ragging free zone and the faculties were great. If you want to be something in your life then you must join this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

As I belong to a Farmer family so for me Dairy technology was an interesting course. topics were updated regularly also I had no issue to learn them. We have proper labs and workshops on our campus. which were very useful. Exams were held at every semester and included practical exams.

Placement Experience

5

Our college had a good placement cell which took the responsibility of internship and job placements. Both Government and private companies visited our campus like Punjab Dairy Development Board, Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board, Marine Products Export Development Authority, Mother Dairy Fruit and vegetable Limited, Canadian Food Inspection Agency and alot more.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure was very feasible and worth, at the time of admission i paid INR 17500 for the admission fees, approx INR 17000 for the tuition fees per semester, apart from this there were some more expenses but the fees was justified with my course.

Campus Life

College had many extracurricular activities like science exhibition and sports events during a year, these extracurricular activities were very good and enjoyable for all students. many students took participated in these events and got selected for further events held at the state level.

Hostel Facilities

My home was near the college so I didn't opt for hostel facility but my college friends were staying at the hostel and according to them, the college provided hostels facilities for boys and girls separately along with good food, clean and safe water for drinking and electricity also it was a safe and secure environment.

Admission

There was a priority given to me for being a local citizen of Punjab and I got admission from that Quota then I was called for the interview and counselling by the college and The university then issued a list and luckily my name was there in the list.

Faculty

5

All the teachers of my course were highly educated and experienced, every faculty members had their different teaching styles to explain the topics, They were the role models of students, we always used to Maintain a good relationship with them so that we will get every support from their side.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As i have opted the course B.Pharmacy! I rate the course as optimal, neither too bad nor too good, its medium! Now comes on teaching method, some teachers are really well and good and few are those who does not teaches but only writing writing, thats it, they will not explain at all! And one thing they should change is that All Courses except B.Pharmacy in Chandigarh University have the criteria to pass the student even below the 40% only or the half of the highest number scored by the topper in the class, and for Bpharmacy its minimum requirement to pass the exam is 50%, Oh My God! This needs to be changed, Now every year, in Bpharmacy, the overall 80% students are getting Compartments (Back/Fail) in the subjects, but the University is not understanding it all. So this should be changed as earlier!

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
