Gangarampur College Adventure

BSc. Botany was an undergraduate course for 3 years which that involved the scientific study of plant life, plant science or plant biology. The course included disciplines like Diversity of Microbes, Cell Biology, Biology and Diversity of Seed Plants, Plant Embryology, Biochemistry & Plant Biotechnology etc.

Th career counselling cell prepared the students by giving pre placement talk, mock sessions, logical and aptitude skills. The companies were rarely invited for the recruitment drives. The candidates from botany department can be employed in Pharmaceutical Company, Food and Herbal Industry, Medical Content Writings, Plant Biochemist and many more.

The fee expense for every year was Rs.4,330. This sums up to amount Rs.12,990 for 3 years which every student can afford. Moreover meritorious and needy students are helped by the institute in financial matters as they are provided various scholarship schemes.

The students get immense amount of opportunities to show their skills and become productive. The college organised annual program which used to be the best. Tournaments, sports meet, cultural events, regional festivals were celebrated every year.

My college offered admission through online mode where registration has to be on the college website. We had to fill all the details within stipulated time period. Incomplete forms are rejected and the information filled should be true to the knowledge else the forms are rejected. After all this we waited for our names in the merit list. Then we are called for counselling process.

The faculty of our department Related theory, principles, and concepts to practical application and were Committed to the field of specialization. They Used class time effectively and efficiently and were Knowledgeable in the content area.
