Remarks

If you want to enjoy the college life and to gain valuable skills then you must prefer this college. The college was best in every point of view. The faculty of the college was outstanding. The college environment and facilities were awesome. According to me.. This is the best college in Punjab.

Course Curriculum Overview

The duration of the course was of 2 years. I enjoyed this remaining 2years of learning here a lot. I created unforgettable memories with the college environment, college library and college friends. But The exams conducted by the college was compulsory in every semester.

Placement Experience

Placement and job opportunities were not available here. But definitely you got valuable skills from here. All the students passed from here went for the competitive examinations and some opened arts galleries. Hence placement was not a big issue here.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure was too feasible as compared to other colleges. The fees of the college was 12Thousand Rs. Per year. According to me, qualified and talented faculty and facilities were the reason behind that. Also scholarships were available here for talented students.

Campus Life

Extracurricular activities such as seminars, debates, quizzes, dramas and workshops were arranged frequently by the college. Along with this to improve our skills different arts competitions and exhibitions were also conducted by the college. We participated in it and grabbed prizes.

Admission

I completed my bachelor of Arts in Govt College. And can't stop myself to take the admission for master in the same college Govt college Punjab. As I was just overwhelmed by the environment, faculty & friends of the college I took admission here again for master of arts. This admission was also purely on merit based & one interview. On my good BA score I got admission here simply.

Faculty

I became familiar with the college faculty within a year. As they were too friendly and caring. They were highly talented and their creativity and skills were beyond imagination. They taught us lot of skills in 2 years of course. We gained valuable knowledge from them.

Likes

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Dislikes

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Big campus and beautiful garden and environment
Aqi was soo good because plants and tree was so much

Dislikes

Mess food was bad but it doesn't taste that bad
If we Complaint about anything college mostly ignore it

Placement Experience:

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements and tata or Infosys companies visited and about 60 to 70 percent students were placed and my plans after getting the degree is to opt for higher studies doing mtech from iit

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like the machines that's why I choose the mechanical branch in engineering line. Noida , Gurgoan , Chandigarh , Bengluru and many other areas for improvements in the course curriculum and teaching methods.

The best thing is that it is very affordable and enhance your knowledge at various aspects.
The second thing is there are extra hostel charges.
And conducts various conferences and workshops for enhancing students knowledge

Dislikes

The location of the college is not that much good.
You have to travel half an hour to reach market.
The hostel rules disallow you for high voltage electricals

The curriculum is very impressive and includes all the activities.There are timely organised exams,events, functions, games, conferences and workshops.The exams are not much difficult.Studing frequently you can pass the exams

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

An In-Depth Look at Campus Life and opportunities at Chandigarh University

I think, the campus is being liked by everyone whether its staff member or a student, because the university consists of many blocks or departments and that too are named as A1, A2, A3, A4 & B1, B2, B3, B4, B5 & C1, C2, C3 & D1,D2,D3,D4,D5,D6,D7,D8
Parks and all are made for the relaxation purpose of the student
Car Parkings are available separately for the students and staff and that also inside the campus which is ambitious.

Dislikes

The semester fees and other expenses is relatively higher as compared to other institutions
Some students find the university’s rule such as strict attendance policies and accurate timings for the classes, quite stringent
Mostly 2 common times, one is in morning nearby 8.50 AM to 9.50 AM and in evening nearby 3.50 PM to 5.00 PM, the rush is like horses and buffaloes! There is so much over crowded & most of the crowd occurs by the Autos, but no one do anything for that

Course Curriculum Overview:

As i have opted the course B.Pharmacy! I rate the course as optimal, neither too bad nor too good, its medium! Now comes on teaching method, some teachers are really well and good and few are those who does not teaches but only writing writing, thats it, they will not explain at all! And one thing they should change is that All Courses except B.Pharmacy in Chandigarh University have the criteria to pass the student even below the 40% only or the half of the highest number scored by the topper in the class, and for Bpharmacy its minimum requirement to pass the exam is 50%, Oh My God! This needs to be changed, Now every year, in Bpharmacy, the overall 80% students are getting Compartments (Back/Fail) in the subjects, but the University is not understanding it all. So this should be changed as earlier!

Clean environment lecture theatres are clean well maintained
The institute is fully air conditional and sanitation is well maintained
College canteen is good and OPD services are also good there is good provision for admitting patients

Dislikes

Central mess food is poor in quality and milk provided is watery
Sports facilities are not fully operational
There is no gym in the campus also there is lack of rooms for students in hostel

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course teaches us how to approach a patient showing some symptoms of a disease and how to treat the patient causing him minimum discomfort The curriculum is based on clinical approach and provides good exposure to clinical patients and helps us in treating them

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late

The hectic schedule and curriculum that the students have to follow.
The lack of certain facilities that would help the students improve thoer personalities
Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum

Participation in youth festvial. I have also participate in youth festival
Scholarship for students is very impressive
Placement for student from various companies came to our collage

Dislikes

Infrastructure is too old and washroom also
Bus service is not available for the boys

Placement Experience:

The most famous companies like wipro and accenture recruit students from our college and get a package of 2-3 lakhs per year. I saw many students get recruited and get a better package and also live their happy work life
