Course Curriculum Overview

It is an 11-month course but we were taught meticulous details of digital film making! It has 4 modules of learning wherein we learned to use the technology and then we employed it to create short films of our choice!

Placement Experience

Your job starts during the course itself! Films like Ab Tak Chhapan 2 and Not a Love Story were directed by students of FX School while they were studying here! We get many opportunities during and after the course!

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is quite feasible despite the high-end technology used to teach students. However, no certain fee structure can be discussed because the course fee is updated every single year according to the school needs.

Campus Life

Workshops are an everyday thing at FX School. In addition to the directors we have as our teachers, famous directors from Bollywood drop in all the time to teach new tricks. And the technology used in at par with the ones used in Bollywood films.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, of course! The thing about the film industry is that recommendations go a really long way! So we always keep in touch with seniors and alumni, in case an opportunity opens up. And most of them try to help out juniors!

Admission

If you are truly invested in the film world, then there is no better place for you to go to! You have to have a 10+2 pass certificate and then you can apply online with the required documents. They will mail you with the joining details!

We have elite filmmakers and award winners for our faculty! Our academic director is CB Arun Kumar who has won many prestigious awards in his 26 year long career and has worked with Aaj Tak and Doordarshan!

As we are in the 1st year of our college, I won't be able to answer this accurately. But, as far as what I've heard from the alumni and seniors, the average placement stats of this college is around 15LPA. The highest package may scale up to 30LPA.

in terms of engagement its pretty good. you have a diverse set of peers group to learn from.
we so many different clubs and committees to be a part off and to learn from.
the level of ecpertise in terms of faculty is really amazing, we have faculties coming from milan to teach us.

missing on college campus because of space .

after 3rd sem companies starts visiting the college , highest package for this year is 28 lps as of now , avg is 13 lpa, my plans are getting into a good fmcg company. percentage ad of now is 70 % , there is quite a few of no of companies visiting

Exam pattern is quite easy to pass as there is relative grading.
There are multiple events and clubs to participate
From SY only class is about 2-4 hrs everyday and Saturday-Sunday holidays

Dislikes

Metallurgy department Class room's are very small and old
Hostel food sucks tbh, only on sundays we get an option to eat non veg.

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester students are eligible for pre-placement and after 7-8 semester most of them get place.About 228 companies visited in our college and 530 students were placed.The highest offer made was 87 lacs and averages placement was 12lacs.For metallurgy it was 20lacs and average was 8.5 lacs.About 76.26% students were placed this year. I will look for good package if i don't get then i will start preparing for gate/gre exam for my master.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from starting of the second year. The placements commence then and continue till everyone is placed. Being a young college, the placements are improving on a yearly basis with new companies being onboarded. The average package stands around 12-13LPA.

Remarks:

I had honestly applied in only a selected number of colleges, as I was doing really well in my coaching and was always among the top 2. Since, I was expecting a lot from myself, it created performance pressure and I went blank during the actual CAT examination. So SDA bocconi was among the top 2 options that I had. It is less than a decade old and has still managed to provide good placements. The most fascinating part is the entire semester in Bocconi,Milan which is the 21st best college in the world and 7th in Europe. I also spoke to many aluminis and hardly got to hear anything that will stop me from taking admission in SDA bocconi. Plus, the advantage of the college being in a city like Mumbai has it's own advantages.

Remarks:

College management is highly supportive of student needs. The management listens to student issues and tries to solve it with proper thinking and strategy. The college and the composition, though is extremely dynamic and diverse, students live together peacefully in harmony, supporting and helping each other whenever needed. Though being it's initial stages of setup, the college faces certain issues with placements and internships, but slowly with every batchs learnings, these are also being cured. This ensures that students are always on their toes and ready to take on challenges.
