Course Curriculum Overview

They have a very well structured course curriculum for the music. They don't have classes everyday and they teach various things about music, musical instruments and can you get a lot of practical exposure.

Placement Experience

there are no placements on campus for this since it is all completely self-made type of thing so the campus does not have any placement of this for the students but some students are a part of big fest events and music culture program

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is quite feasible for 4 months it is appropriate for what you will get to learn and they will also make sure that you get to have a complete experience of how the music is recorded and beats are made

Campus Life

The college conducts various face and cultural programs for the students and college students also participate in such fest in other colleges in and in other institutions. Workshops are a part of daily basis

Hostel Facilities

alert in the same city so I didn't have to offer any hostel or PG but they have good PGS near the Institutions with very less range and all the required facilities provided for the students with 24 7 electricity and water

Admission

You can get the certification in music after you complete your 10th standard. you have to fill the application form first and then you will have to go through an interview for some sort of additionally so that they can check if you are capable enough

They have very good music teachers who have a lot of experience in teaching and have worked with big music producers. They have also had been part of various big events and always make sure their students are the best.

Good College with Decent Fees

Likes

Air Conditioned Classrooms and good wifi
There are many technical and social clubs like IEEE and IETE
Fests and Campus life are good. Many companies visit the campus for placements

Dislikes

75% attendence is mandatory to be eligible for final exams
Strict Dress Code and hostel restrictions are there in the campus
Only 2 food courts are there in the whole campus and very crowdy

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is industry oriented.I choose this course as I liked working with Hardware. The curriculum prepares for real world applications and Hands-On Project The frequency and exams are easy to moderate level.

Likes

The campus is over 100 years old and has strong alumini network.
Placements are good as per my rank in JEE
Peer group is good and there are diversed people all around

Dislikes

Infrastructure is really old; but then again legacy comes at a cost.
Campus is smaller as compared to NITs and IITs ; so is the funding
Its still not an institute of national importance. Has no nation wide recognition

Placement Experience:

Since the first batch of VLSI is yet to be placed I would take example of ECE for reference. Out of 110 students which sat for placements , 91 got placed , median of 13 lakh with avergae of 16 lakh and 61 lakh highest on campus. These are of 24-25 and this year placements are better as even apple visited us after an hiatus of 3 years. In core electronics , Samsung Rnd , TATA electronics , Cadence , Micron etc visited for tech , UKG , PhonePay , Oracle , Accenture etc vist in consulting and finance , Mckinsey , JP Morgan , GoldmanSachs , AmericanExpress visit. After my btech I plan to do a job.

Likes

Syllabus is good, it is very versatile and updated according to the industry standards
The University also has a good events and also a good night life
The infrastructure is very modern with unique outlets to eat in

Dislikes

There is a uniform system which is very bad according to university
Very strict rules regarding in and out of the University
The outlets in university are quite expensive

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the course plan around 7 out of 10 in terms of relevance and depth. I chose this course mainly because it includes core tech subj like DSA, DBMS, OS, AI and cloud, which are useful for jobs in tech field. The presence of lab work and proj based learning also influenced my choice. The curriculum gives a fair base in theory and basic prac skills. It helps in campus place prep and also builds base for higher study like MTech or MS. But real world skill still depends a lot on self study, online course and side proj. Some topics feel updated, but a few subj are still too theory heavy and not linked to real case use. Exams are held twice as mid test and once as end term in each sem. There are also quiz, viva and lab eval. The level is moderate. If you attend class and revise notes, it is manageable. For improve, more live proj, hack event, ind visit and case study should be added. Teach method should shift more to code demo and less slide read

Likes

Good facilities, really teaches student and give individual attention in class too
Good infrastructure , as it was just built in 2021, the infrastructure is top notch and no complaints about it.
Papers are being checked anonymously, one’s paper can be checked by any teacher in any campus, so no chance of partiality

Dislikes

80% strict attendance criteria other they would not allow to sit in exam
Passing criteria is 40% and grading system is also bery difficult, two D grade is 1 F and more than 2F could lead to year repeat year, not even semster
Alot of assigments, really hectic at times

Placement Experience:

We have avergae package of 12 lpa and 57lpa highest, i am not aware of how mqny placed. As such i have plan to get placed but if things didnt go out as planed then mba or mtech maybe. Our campus just opened recently so there is no much information but our placements are central that means, companies visting mumbai have to visit us too, and u can refer mumbai campus placement for our campus because its counted on central level and not varries campus to campus

Remarks:

There are very limited art college in india and GCA Chandigarh is 1 of them. I opted for printmaking because I wanted to explore different mediums of expression. The college is well equipped with faculty experienced in their own particular mediums aswell as exploring new mediums. You will get the freedom to build you creativity.
