Remarks

My parents came to know about the university from their friends. I had interest in mechanical engineering. So, before the JEE Mains results were out, I wanted to secure a seat in an university at my convenient proximity with my subject of interest. The thing I like most about my university is that the proffessors are very approachable and available at any moment for the students.

Course Curriculum Overview

Well, I feel like we were not very updated with the course syllabus. The teachers did not emphasised on some of the most important subjects in Mechanical Engineering like Metrology, Engineering Materials, CAD/CAM, Industrial Engineering, Hydraulics Machinery, etc. There were no industrial exposures provided by our university during the 4 years of B. Tech course.

Placement Experience

0.5

In our time, there were no mechanical engineering related jobs came for campus interview as promised during admission. All the jobs that came for us in the final year, were IT sector jobs, sales jobs and call centre jobs. As a mechanical engineer, these jobs were out of my expertise and interest.

College Events

0.5

The cocurricular and extracurricular activities are very dormant in the campus life. We had a technical festival called PRAJYUKTAM and a Cultural festival called D'VERVE which are the biggest failure of the university. The funds are raised by the students' organizing team from the sponsors outside of the university. But during the festival, the university refuse to spend according to the budget but most of the time it ends up below the funds raised by the students. They refuse to spend in sports, specially in fast-aids. Most of the time, students had to spend from their own pockets. Due to these factors, the students consider the festivals of the university as holidays and they go back to their home during those days. Only the local resident students and the final year students come to the university during those days.

Campus Life

As per requirement of an engineering institution, our campus was considerably small. The sports facilities were average. The basketball team of the university is quite strong, yet no proffesional coaches were provided by the university. The university lacked playground other than a basketball court. The library was well equipped with books related to engineering, management and few literature. The university failed to provide a proper thermodynamics and IC engine laboratory.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course i.e. department of Botany because the department ensuring a strong theoretical foundations along with the practical experience. The course prepares well for students as the acedemic results is always good which will make gratutides well equipped for jobs. Some sections of the course should be updated to meet the latest technology, more guests lectures and the interships should be provided to the students. The exams clustering of multiple exams should be within times which relases unneccsary stress, the exams are conducted easy to insane which is very challenging for the students.
