Remarks

As my religion is sikh and i belongs to a punjabi speaking family, so i always wanted a college where i could adjust easily without any hesitation. The college is having sikh dominant community so that feels like very pleasant. The surrounding and cleaning of gardens and campus also attracted me to join it for my graduation.

Course Curriculum Overview

The syllabus is given to the students and is completely updated. The course curriculum design is ultimate as it is designed in such a manner that easily everybody could cope up with the syllabus and that also in very short time. The teachers of baba farid college is also very good, time punctual and hardworking.

Class Size: 134Course Fees: INR 377000 per year

Placement Experience

Anybody from baba farid college is satisfied after completing their graduation and post graduation as both in both various big MNC's come to the campus to hire students and to offer them good packages. Companies of it sector that visit every year are Microsoft, google, infosys and dell etc.

College Events

The campus management is all the a committee that takes all major decisions at the time of events or festivals. The events are organised with lots of happiness and is enjoyed by each and every child of the college. One big thing to know is that both teachers and students have competition to fight and are rewarded at the end of the events.

Exploring life at Chandigarh University

Likes

Good and modern campus infrastructure. The university is large, modern with good classrooms, labs, hostels and tec.
Most teachers are knowledgeable, supportive and explain concepts clearly.
The university provides placement drives, training sessions, career guidance and etc.

Dislikes

Large student intake. Due to high number of students, sometimes it can be difficult to get individual attention from faculty.
During peak hours, some areas of the campus can be crowded.
The quality of hostel food is not much satisfying.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Chandigarh University are generally good, with students becoming eligible for campus placements in the later semesters, dependiing on their course. Many companies visit the campus for recruitment, offering roles in IT, engineering, management and other fields. The packages vary by company and profile with some students receiving high packages while others get average entry-level offers. Placement opportunities depend on student skills, academic performance and interview preparation. After completing my degree, I plan to secure a good job in my field, gain practical experience and continue developing my technical and professional skills.

Likes

The most appreciated aspect was the quality of teaching in classroom. There were structured planning for studies and exam preparations.
The campus was peaceful and the college celebrated every cultural event very enthusiatically covering interest of students belonging from various traditional backgrounds across India.
There was wide spread interest both from students and faculty side for promoting extra cirricular activites and talent.

Dislikes

The way a student raises a complain can be improved.
To allot extra hours for extra acirricular activites.

Placement Experience:

Placements are great for tech and core domains. Alomost every students gets to sit in placement following the eligibilty critera. Many students get double placed and there is a placement policy which allows fare chances of placement to every student.

class size can be large , it helps every child to interact
academic work is quite high , the schedule may feel hectic especially during examination

Cmc - a feeling in itself

Likes

Academics are very good along with proper clinical teaching lectures and simulation based teaching. Patient load is good. All the clinicals skills required at mbbs level are taught properly.
There are various extra-curricular activities which take place in college. Many cultural events are organized by college and student bodies every month which gives an holistic development experience
Sports facilities are also there which are very good.

Dislikes

Infrastructure is very old and needs repair
Many faculty members are leaving leading to less good professors in the college
Patient load is decreasing day by day resulting in less clinical exposure

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum followed in our college is CBME based curriculum. Our college was one such college which conrributed tremendously in developing this type of curriculum. It trains you in all clinical skills and provide you with the best doctor skills. Also many soft skills training session our held which helps in developing and training ourselves as good doctor. All the skills are taught on models and patients.clinical training is very good. However , patient load is decreasing which restricts oursleves in seeing variety of patients

A honest college review

Likes

College faculty are very solid and remarkable and some teachers also support the other students in difficult situation like financially
Paramedical course faculty sometimes give random party for students to their achivement

Dislikes

Campus is some sort of small and Students ground is short.
Sports ground is short if two different teams want to play they can't play like that.teams

Placement Experience:

The college provides good opportunities to those who are good at academics and for those who are not good at academics chances for them to placement are very low. During the past year, there were very good companies shown in my college for my seniors, some were very renowned companies and the highest package was something 650000.

Mixed emotions but honesty

I dont know about the intership policy

It was a great experience to complete graduation here. The very excellent staff they have for teaching BCA. They also give practical knowledge. They also give a chance to the student to perform in cultural activities. This is one of the best colleges in Punjab. The college has its cricket team. And very good cricket ground. In the month of march athletic meet held in college, every student has a chance to perform in sports. This college also organizes a vibgyor festival which is famous in Punjab. Because famous singers of India come here on this festival. During my graduation, many singers come here for movie promotions and to perform in vibgyor like Tarsem Jasser, Ranjit Bawa, kulbeer jhinjer, parmish verma, hafr cheema, babbu maan , gurnam Bhullar, jass Bajwa, Neha Kakkar and many more singer I watched live during my graduation .the one of the biggest quality is all the campus is the air conditioner.
