Course Curriculum Overview

By providing internship and software laboratory which help students to work in industrial field. In my college they don't wave basin and model experiment tank. Which is helpful to understand the ship model resistance, propulsion and manoeuvring test. To learn this experiment college provide 10 days internships in IIT Madras for understanding the concept of model resistance, propusion and manoeuvring test.

College Events

Almost all Hindu cultural festival are celebrated in our college. basically our college in South India so, the all south Indian festivals are celebrated in delighted way. Like onam, pongal etc. Norh indian festivals are also celebrated in very attractive way like holi, dussara, dewali, sarswat puja, durga puja etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It's expensive. it can be paid by online mode or demand draft mode. There is additional fee regarding the examination fee, caution deposit fee, counseling fee. If there is any shortage of attendance below the 85% students have to pay 10000 for the registration of end semester examination.No college does not provide any fee- breakdown.

Fees and Financial Aid

They provide only merit based scholarship. Student who performed excellent marks in end semester examination.

Campus Life

Gender ratio 3-4/10. There is fresher party for the new students and farewell party for the final years passing students apart from this there is cultural party which is normally celebrate in festival. Yeah there is diversity of students which come across the country.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is included in our course. All accommodation, loading, food is available inside the campus. One room is allocated for Two students with two single bed, two table, two chairs each student's provide with personal cupboard. average rent for the PG's students.5000 per month.

Hostel Fee: INR 80000 per yearExternal Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Actually I'm not sure about. Senior are planning to participate or give contribution for the alumini.

Admission

By qualifying IMU CET. It's very different engineering course. Naval architecture and ocean engineering which is very few in india. Actually I want to learn the construction, architecture repairing behind the science in the ship construction.student should qualify the intermediate examination with 70 percentage in physics, chemistry & mathematics then only you can apply registration for this institution.

Faculty

2 to 3 lecture in a regular basis. Average age of faculty around 40 years. Some of faculty qualifications of MTech, and some of completed PhD. in marine field. according to my personal view I'm comfortable with few faculty regarding the concept and doubt on subject.

Why Kl university

Likes

I like the infrastructure of my university
College life is very good and there will be no stress
The Teaching and non teaching staffs are very good and supportive

Dislikes

The thing I disliked is the timings of the classes
Another thing is to travel for long time if you are local

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the circulam 10 out of 10 because in our cirrculum we will learing skills like dbms, full stack which will we useful in our placements. we have two mid examinations first 50% of the syllabus will be on mid1, another 50% will be mid2 and one semeter end exam.

The curriculum is well-structured and covers all the important core subjects with useful practical labs. It is relevant for both industry and higher studies. Exams are conducted on time and are moderately easy. Adding more industry-oriented workshops and updated tools would make it even better. Overall, the course is clear, relevant, and helpful for future growth.

A College Boy Story

Likes

I like the support from the faculty and they support us in every work and task
they provide the internships more and more from the prestiougus institutes
the campus is good and the infastructure is very well

Dislikes

the food at the canteen is wrost as excepected but now it better sometimes
the faculty is less expirenced it is some most one that i dislikes
the fee structure for the students is more thinh i disliked they make more stress

Placement Experience:

form the semester of 3rd year and 2nd semester and our college contains amazon , wipro , infosys , accenture , cummins , tech mahindra , cred are so many startups and the highest package is 45lpa and the average is 4 lpa per person

I like the college environment.. it's very beautiful here with a nice view . We have a big ground and we can use that
College infrastructure is also very good. Specially another science block is constructed for the department of law.. it's kinda good
I like the hostel environment here.. we can play as long as we want and new hostles are constructed now

Dislikes

Mess food.. I don't like the mess food here... They're not following any food safety measures
I don't like the faculty here coz they won't attend the classes regularly to guide us
We have to prepare our own notes coz no one will help us regarding any thing

Actually my course in degree is bsc Hons community science and in tht I have choosen human development and family studies as my elective and I did my internship at niepid secunderabad.. after my internship I got intrest in the field of clinical psychology..the curriculum is very good we can learn many different things in this field

Kits college overall review

Likes

Very disciplined college, rules are very strict in shirt tuck shoes mandatory for boys along with id card.
Other activities like functions,events participations is good
Infrastructure and maintenance is very good

Dislikes

They will ask you to pay full fee before government disperse the amount
Barely communicate between opposite genders due to strict rules
Placements from past year is not up to the mark

Actually for every 6 months we have to complete one semester,due to Covid in our batch time we completed the course quite fast,after Covid the classes are done according to the time and we also participate multiple hackathon to represent out ideas and some skill oriented programming organisations

Likes

The aspects i liked the college that appreciated by the environment of greenery and calm environment
Most of the faculties are Doctorate holders and experienced
The quality infrastructure should be good and it is rated as A+ by the NAAC

the thing i like more in our college is firstly dicipline
the thing i like in our college are more but mostly we can say friendly and experienced faculty
in my college every topic is explained practically it is very help fullfor our studies

i dont like the thing our college management dont allow us to bring mobile to college
second thing was we not even permiable to talk with opposite gender freely
some of the rules in our college represent a school

Curriculum which is very good and updated.
Availability of large Central Library with wide range of books for every course
SAC auditorium, indoor badminton court and basketball court

Dislikes

Social life of students which is one of worst you can experience in a collge
Not allowing students outside without prooper permission, what are they thiking about us, nursery studnets
Hostels and Mess you just cant bear after a point

Placement Experience:

I think placements will happen but not something like big companies will come , just like any other tier-3 college placments will happen with average package 3.5 lakh . CSE and ECE students will get some decent offers around 60- 70 % students will get placed every year. Highest package if i remember correctly is 27 lakh per annum last year got by an ECE student. The placements will start from second semester of 3 rd year .
