Sitamarhi Institute of Technology, B.Tech, Computer Science and Engineering

Remarks

I opted the course because I just love everthing that's technology related and Computers were always my priority when it came to technology. And the faculties for my branch in the college are really good as well.

Course Curriculum Overview

My syllabus was actually updated the year I joined the college and since then the curriculum is updated every year. There is not really any industrial exposure yet, because the college doesn't have its own campus. But its scheduled that the main campus will be constructed till July 2020. There are many good faculties in the college. All of them are really supportive. "Neeraj Kumar" Sir is really great at his knowledge.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 50000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Yes, I have opted for an internship at Gizmoposts24 which offers me a stipend of Rs.1000 per month. And, I am also Campus Ambassdor at "Karyon",Delhi Technological University and there is no stipend for the internship.

Placement Experience

The placement record of the college is really low. Students have to go to other big colleges for job opportunities. Only about 10 to 20 students got placed last year. The new campus will have placement opportunities as promised by the college staff.

College Events

Campus life is not so great. Due to the lack of an own campus, we only get to celebrate the Annual day in the college. But the participations are really good and the students really get their chance to show the talent they have.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, there are no scholarship or loans offered by the college. However, the government gave scholarships for girls and poor candidates which was easily available in the college. Some of them were "Pratibha baalika yojana" and DRDO office loans.

Campus Life

As mentioned earlier, the college does not have its own campus. And, the temporary college location does not have a really good infrastructure but has wifi and proper library facility. The labs are not so well equipped.

Hostel Facilities

1.5

There is no hostel in my college. The new college location is set to have 3-4 huge 5 storey hostel with about 40 rooms each. The rooms will rather be shared or not is still unknown. And the hostel cost is unknown as well.

I like, college is providing good educational background to engineering student who were not go to IIT or NIT with affordable amount of money.
Faculty are highly educated having good teaching methods and mentoring student. They were selected through BPSC examination.
The campus area is extended in approx 50 acares. The campus provide greenery environment which is better for health of student.

Dislikes

The campus is situated far from the Motihari city which result in lack of conectivity with market.
The college campus has much forest area due to it, you can see wild animal like Nil Gay and Snake in campus .
The college is situated 2 km away from the national highway, due to which you face difficulty in traveling in evening after 6 pm .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I has chossen B. tech in Civi Engineering due to I want to do feild work. Civil Engineering branch is one of the oldest branch and base of all branch. The curiculam prepares me for real-world application or further academic pursuits by dealing hard numericals problem , Civil Engineering branch involves strong team work because any mistake in civil engineering team work result loss of life, money and time. The course is improved by providing strong computer application to civil engineering students and involving AI to this branch. In engineering you can face exam any time so you always ready for any examination and apply the daily study routine to life.

Remarks:

Caste system is very common in our college. Infact students get divided on the basis of their caste which creates an unhealthy environment here which makes it a worse place to survive. This caste system works mainly by the efforts of seniors.
