Remarks

Flexibility and autonomy in choosing your own courses, interdisciplinary nature of the course because of electives offered from other departments, No rigid examination structure, creative assessment patterns

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course was very comprehensive in its approach to literature, there were electives offered within the department so students could opt for what interested them the most. Efforts were made to make the syllabus as non-canonical as possible and to include texts that are often not included in the syllabus. Industrial exposure was not really a part of the curriculum given the nature of the discipline but the university does have a placement and career opportunity cell. The faculty is very good and has professors who are not only good teachers but often empathetic to students needs as well.

Internships Opportunities

Sahapedia internship, Museums of India Intern, Stipend 6000/month

Placement Experience

3.5

The college is fairly young, so there are no notable alumni till now. However, the college has an active career opportunity cell.

College Events

5

Campus life was vibrant with various societies organising various events throughout the year, whether it was the theatre society, literature society, history society, queer collective and so on. Many fund raising events for various causes were also held regularly. The highlight is generally the annual festival, AUDaCity

Fees and Financial Aid

The college offers a fee waiver for those who come under EWS category and disabled category. Apart from that students who are the top ten in their class get a scholarship per semester and there is also the option of accessing funds from the Students Welfare Fund if the need arises.

Campus Life

4

AUD shares its football and basketball court with the neighbouring IGDTUW and also has recreational facilities for students like table tennis and carrom, the campus is WiFi enabled and the university also has a separate email for students. The library at AUD is exceptional with all the latest academic books and journals and has access to a plethora of online journals and the library staff is very helpful and very efficient too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was evidently outdated and irrelevant to modern engineering challenges and could have severely disadvantaged students' learning outcomes. Although, interaction with seniors compensated this.

It is okay and it is based on luck of the student more than hardwork. You also have to network super well to get into good dream companies. It is a good place to get it out of luck through ATS sysytem.

Remarks:

Good Remark: The college environment made it possible for me to have great friends and be the person who I have become. The teachers and facilities of well-equipped labs, guest lectures, events, library, etc. made it possible for us to have a great campus life. Bad Remark: The college management needs to update the library norms that they have (which made it difficult for us to have books for the weekend to study) and also need to provide students with better placement opportunities from the same field as the specializations.
