Remarks

I wanted CSE branch and I was not getting it in any government college and also scored 73% in boards so I was out of BITSAT. Then I came to know about this university and we had a campus visit, we interacted with few of the faculties and I liked the infrastructure and facilities provided by the university.

Course Curriculum Overview

The syllabus is updated quite well. They taught us Python in 1st semester itself whereas, in most of the colleges it is taught in 3rd year. Since I just entered 2nd year there's no industrial exposure so far but yeah, they provide many opportunities to interact with industrial people since 1st semester itself.

Class Size: 30Course Fees: INR 2000000 per year

Internships Opportunities

No, I just got in 2nd year so didn't applied for internship.

Placement Experience

The placements are good, Microsoft visited this year and one guy got placement pffer of 44 lacs. Talking about entrepreneurial cell, the university promotes entrepreneurship too much which is a good thing.

College Events

Campus life is good. No ragging and bullying. There are many events going on in the campus throughout the year and they provide many opportunities to students for participation whether it is sports/ techincal/ cultural contest.

Fees and Financial Aid

The university provides scholarships to students based on JEE percentile and Boards percentage (considering best of two). The criteria for scholarship is increasing year by year as the university is establishing itself.

Campus Life

The campus infrastructure is superb. Wifi is not so fast but fine to use. Equipments in labs are up to date. There are 3 to 4 Mac Labs in the campus. Library size is fine, they can increase in future may be if number of students increase.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel infrastructure is good (not so good but still better than many other colleges). Hostel provides options of sharing as 2 or 3 students per room. The hostel costs include mess+ cleaning +laundry. The charge of hostel is 12000 INR per month in case opted for twin sharing and 10500 INR in case of triple sharing.

Hostel Fee: INR 150000 per year

Likes

Environment is good, the overall environment is calm
The hostel is good, it is hygienic and provides regular maintainence
The campus feels quiet safe and have good security with strict regulations

Dislikes

The network connectivity is not up to the mark
There are very less number of cultural events taking place in this college
Hectic study schedules which leaves no time for extra curricular activitoes

Placement Experience:

Placements of thos college is quiet good Many big companies provides internships and placements This year also quiet many students got placed TCS visited the campus for hiring Average packhage is 15 lakh per annum

What I See at SRM Ghaziabad

Likes

I really appreciated the college clubs and hackathons.
There are variety of events throughout the semester, something to always keep you on your feet.
Some of the faculties are really really experienced and have a unique approach that captures the attention of all the students.

Dislikes

Not many hotspots around campus to hang out after classes.
The infrastructure of the hostel can be improved a lot.
Food in mess is not great, the menu is not very diverse. Everything has aloo.

Placement Experience:

Placements are actually impressive with our college having the highest placement rate among others in the region. We usually achieve ~90% placement. We get opportunities from many large groups, such as Infosys, TCS, JPMC, BNY, Logitech, etc etc The list goes on. The highest package that I saw was of around 1Cr from a company I don't remember their name, but it was based out of SF and was a really great one. Average placement we see is around 12-20LPA packages.

Life at SRM.

Likes

A good and friendly environment on campus where students from all around nearby cities and states stay together in harmony.
Interactive classes and faculty is also very supportive.
The campus has all basic facilities from food to stationary.

Dislikes

The food may sometimes be not very good.
The campus has less places to spend some free time other than some spots.
Due to small academic hall places may look too crowded.

Placement Experience:

The placements in the college is really one of the the factors convincing everyone to take admission in SRM ,average package from the college is of around 10,00,000 which is really a very good amount in todays stresfull market.

I liked the faculties of my college they are very supportive and helpful towards the students.
I like the curriculum which more learning based then theory
I like the support that is provided by the college towards the placements of the students

Dislikes

I don't like the attendence system of our college it very hectic to students
There is lot of focus on exam in my college which I don't like
Syllabus are not updated in our college we are studying very old things

Course Curriculum Overview:

I opted for this course because I want to be a software engineer. I chose my course because it was well-informed, and my interest was also in this field from the start. The faculty members and platform were also quite good for nurturing personal skills and making one a skilled and disciplined person in life. I wish this course would focus more on practical things rather than being theoretical. Events, fests, and the campus environment are also very good and pleasing to the eye. Connectivity was also easy from all around the world due to its location. Scholarships were also awarded to almost every student.

Decent Opportunities in Emerging Domains and Exposure to Hands-on Project

Likes

There are very good and highly qualified Faculties for each subject.
There is lot of clubs and groups which give exposure to the students.
Location of College is best in Greater Noida

Dislikes

There is little busy management and take time to respond query.
Highly busy schedule of college timings.
There can be delay in examinations from its expected date.

Placement Experience:

Placement in GCET is one of the good In greater Noida colleges. The average package of this college is 4-6 L.P.A. Companies like TCS, J.P Morgan, Josh Technology, L.G etc visited every year. Mass recruiters like wipro,infosys,capegemini also visited every year. About 85% students every year placed from the college. After getting degree my plans are getting very good placemnt from this college.

In my college placement is good and increasing every year as I have heard from s masters senior in past 4 days 1000 students have been placed and placements are still going on and there is a dedicated placement cell in our college and also skilled students can get upto 40-60LPA and average is 6-7 LPA and my plans after degree is to go for masters as I have intrest in MTECH too and 60-70% gets placement and it's still increasing and companies visit such as wipro hcl LG delloite etc

good exposure for kids to grow and flourish. Good student crowd. People from all different backgrounds are there and students are mostly smart and are willing to learn new things. Overall good exposure for students
Good cafeteria will reasonable food and both north and south India food options
Regular events and seminars are conducted with guests lectures

Dislikes

Very pricey fee structure, fee could have been a little less
Attendance policy is very strict and follows mandatory 80% attendance
Placements are not that great as off now

Course Curriculum Overview:

I Would say that's it's average. Like other colleges only. However one good thing is we have one or two elective paper almost every semester in which we can choose particular subjects according to our interest.

Bennett University worth or not ???

Other colleges I applied for were -- VIT Velore, SRM University, Manipal University and sat for counseling too. The reason I didn't take admission in these colleges was mostly because of the distance from my home. I wanted a good college near my hometown and Bennett was the perfect candidate. It was close to my home city, provided the course I wanted to take and had a decent average package. The curriculum, fests, infrastructure and in general living conditions here at Bennett University are better than those at other colleges. But the placements and the education quality need improvement. The admission process is pretty simple: just register on the website, then fill out the form. Life at Bennett University

The admission here is simple and the reponse of the admission committie and the IT department here is excellent, This college was not on my list to begin with but i ended up choosing this college because of the facilities provided here and also if your are truly wiling to do good then this college will help you , There is not much of a eligibility criteria you must atleast get 60 percentage in board to make it here, For the other college there werent much facilities and i just didnt worked much hard to find colleges but i dont regret my decision alot.
