The college had organised their own entrance examination, I don't remember exactly how much i scored but my name was displayed among the selected students. I opted this college because my father wanted me to study here.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course was divided into two main parts, the honours or main was Biotechnology and the electives were, Botany and chemistry. We also had to take up english and environment science additionally during our 1st and 3rd year respectively.

Internships Opportunities

There was no such stipend however, the topper in each year received their whole tuition fee back. For us we could take up summer internships in research labs according to interests, and the stipent provided dependend on the group or organisation we joined as intern. Companies like TCS, WIPRO came for campusing. Stipend for training period varied from 15 to 20 thousand.

Placement Experience

4

Directly after B.sc students from my stream does not look for job often, they go for their masters, how ever for all other departments and even for our department campus placements used to visit. ( Wipro, TCS) etc are some of the organisations offering campus placements, there was an active placement cell in the college premises.

I knew that the fees for the student who topped was excused, other than that i do not hav knowledge about any other scholarship.

Campus Life

4

The campus life was really great. Equal importance was given to academics as well as sports. The gebder ration was almost proportionate. Though it was a don bosco institute students from all over india came to study there so quite a secular environment was maintained in the college premises.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel rooms were quite big, they were either single, 2, 3, 4 sharing. Mess was not that much of a high quality but food was etable. the students got admitted in hostel based on their percentages. students who didnot get seat in the hostel lived in near by PGs that had good facilities too

Alumni/Alumna

I havent joined any of the alumni meets yet. But yes the seniors do offer great helping hands even through social networking sites. looking forward to attend an alumni meet soon.

We had 3 exams a year. The terminal examination, which would be held during september, The selection examaniation, ehich was held during december students securing very less marks in this exam were not allowed to sit for final examinatin. Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of my course is pretty good and helpful with proper teaching about the subject, it is also helpful for real-life work and activities with proper hands-in skills teaching and theoretical knowledge. But there is a big setback that it is not recognised by the Indian council of agricultural research(ICAR). Recognition by the ICAR will have a big boost in the course and department

Course Curriculum Overview:

Although this is a private college still it has recognition for the efficiency of this college. I wasn't interested in medicine and engineering. so I had to do a BSc so this college is one of the best in North East India. From the chemistry department, there are various scopes such as the food industry, oil industry, wax industry, ONGC, OIL, and various jobs. The teaching method is efficient and if there is any chance to improve then I would like to say that faculty should monitor that every student is being facilitated with proper materials.

The college facilities like the library and study materials are quite fine. The college campus is also big enough to feel free to walk around. In short about my college it is one of the best.

Remarks:

The college management is very polite and kind. Overall, I think that I finally know why it is one of the top colleges. It has made such a positive impact on me and given me the confidence to face the real world. It has taught me that being timid and shy is of no use. The fees are feasible even for common people and faculties are well trained. It got all what it needs to be a good college and yes it is. I would recomment it to everyone.
