Remarks

Scms is one of the most prestigious institutions to study BBA. They have a very active placement cell. The faculty is well qualified and are very friendly. The management gives a lot of significance to international students like hostel accommodations and etc.

Course Curriculum Overview

This college allows you to choose your specialisation from your second year itself, thus giving you maximum exposure to the related subjects. The specialisations include Marketing, Finance, HR, etc. The faculty consists of well-experienced teachers.

SCMS, Pune is highly diverse in nature. It lets you immerse yourself in a myriad of opportunities that you wouldn't possibly get an any other BBA college. We have end number of student opportunities on campus and not just that we also have a number of academic opportunities outside of the classroom

College Events

The student life is amazing and overall an amazing experience. One will love their 3 years of under-graduation and would do anything to go back to college. Scms college fest are well known in Pune and in India as well

Campus Life

Scms has a huge campus. They are 15 classes. There are basketball, volleyball and football ground which are very planned. Compared to other Symbiosis campus scms is very massive and well maintained. the environment and culture of the institute gets you life ready and not just corporate world ready.

Hostel Facilities

They provide hostels for both boys and girls. The hostel is very near to Pune airport. There are some restrictions and regulations for students in hostels. But they provide a lot of facilities for students. If one is not able to get into Symbiosis hostel there are many hostels around the campus.

As we are in the 1st year of our college, I won't be able to answer this accurately. But, as far as what I've heard from the alumni and seniors, the average placement stats of this college is around 15LPA. The highest package may scale up to 30LPA.

we so many different clubs and committees to be a part off and to learn from.
the level of ecpertise in terms of faculty is really amazing, we have faculties coming from milan to teach us.

missing on college campus because of space .

after 3rd sem companies starts visiting the college , highest package for this year is 28 lps as of now , avg is 13 lpa, my plans are getting into a good fmcg company. percentage ad of now is 70 % , there is quite a few of no of companies visiting

Exam pattern is quite easy to pass as there is relative grading.
There are multiple events and clubs to participate
From SY only class is about 2-4 hrs everyday and Saturday-Sunday holidays

Dislikes

Metallurgy department Class room's are very small and old
Hostel food sucks tbh, only on sundays we get an option to eat non veg.

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester students are eligible for pre-placement and after 7-8 semester most of them get place.About 228 companies visited in our college and 530 students were placed.The highest offer made was 87 lacs and averages placement was 12lacs.For metallurgy it was 20lacs and average was 8.5 lacs.About 76.26% students were placed this year. I will look for good package if i don't get then i will start preparing for gate/gre exam for my master.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from starting of the second year. The placements commence then and continue till everyone is placed. Being a young college, the placements are improving on a yearly basis with new companies being onboarded. The average package stands around 12-13LPA.

Remarks:

I had honestly applied in only a selected number of colleges, as I was doing really well in my coaching and was always among the top 2. Since, I was expecting a lot from myself, it created performance pressure and I went blank during the actual CAT examination. So SDA bocconi was among the top 2 options that I had. It is less than a decade old and has still managed to provide good placements. The most fascinating part is the entire semester in Bocconi,Milan which is the 21st best college in the world and 7th in Europe. I also spoke to many aluminis and hardly got to hear anything that will stop me from taking admission in SDA bocconi. Plus, the advantage of the college being in a city like Mumbai has it's own advantages.

Remarks:

College management is highly supportive of student needs. The management listens to student issues and tries to solve it with proper thinking and strategy. The college and the composition, though is extremely dynamic and diverse, students live together peacefully in harmony, supporting and helping each other whenever needed. Though being it's initial stages of setup, the college faces certain issues with placements and internships, but slowly with every batchs learnings, these are also being cured. This ensures that students are always on their toes and ready to take on challenges.

Symbiosis: a zig zag experience

I chose Symbiosis because it offered International Business which is of my keen interest. When I contacted other colleges and enquired about this course, they said they don't have this course or some said "we're not sure". I mean how can they be not sure of their own curriculum? And I applied only to SYMBIOSIS. Now I'm in my final year and dual specializing in International Business and Marketing. For the admission process, firstly fill the application form and then they'll also conduct a mock test when main entrance exam is around a month away or smtg. And then Symbiosis Entrance EXAM (SET EXAM) happens. After qualifying that,the student is shortlisted to WAT (written assessment test). It's like an essay writing test, you will be given a topic and 20mins of time. Lastly it's the PI (personal interview) and then merit list or not depends on student performance....Read More

SCMS - genius ambition, complicated execution

Admission is through a national level entrance examination called SET (Symbiosis Entrance Test). It was conducted in online-proctored mode due to COVID in 2020. It tests candidates on 4 subjects - Mathematics, General Knowledge, Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning. The marks for this entrance is 75, followed by a shortlist for the WAT and PI. Qualifying all three rounds ensures admission. Eligibility is passing Class 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks for general candidates and a minimum of 45% marks for reserved category candidate from any recognized board. Application form can be found on the official website of SET - www.set-test.org Application fees is ?1750. The entrance test is in MCQ and is easy to moderate. WAT (Written Ability Test) Round is also computer-based and requires candidates to write about a topic in 30 min.
