Remarks

So that l don't have to join another college for my masters. This course enables me to get a degree and masters together. My collage also assures placements for students who have considerable marks. The course also has add on subjects like E commerce. It helps in familiarising in different computer languages too.

Course Curriculum Overview

We are given an updated syllabus. In each sem there is a new language being taught. The faculties are skilled. The students are able to express any discomfort in the method of teaching. There is at least one industrial visit conducted according to my knowledge. This college is the right place for professional studies.

Class Size: 44Course Fees: INR 450000 per year

Placement Experience

It is told that the collage provides placement opportunities for every student. If we perform well enough we are able to get into a good company with a reasonable salary.

College Events

3.5

Campus life so far is not that bad. The collage conducted a fest. All the students took initiative in conducting the fest and it was a grand success. Students from many colleges came to participate in our fest.

Campus Life

SCMS has a large infrastructure which comprises of one of the largest libraries. According to my knowledge there are three libraries one in bcom section another one in the MBA block and one for the IMCA students too. We have a basketball court and a volleyball court. We dont have a permanent coach for sports but the students are given chance to participate in the sports competition conducted. We have Computer labs and hardware labs enough to fit a whole class of Students and each student can have their individual systems.

The atmosphere in the campus is great...
The canteen menus are all fine and are according to our need

Dislikes

Some of the teachers are not that good..
The building is to old for us it's like it's almost going to fall or smt
The toilets are all old and not maintained

Course Curriculum Overview:

College at the heart of kuttanad

Likes

Academic structure is pretty good. Exams will be conducted earlier and the results will also be published at the earliest.
Value of the university is pretty good. Placement options are also comparatively better.
Classes are arranged daily and the teachers are always available there with all support

Dislikes

The infrastructure is not that good. It's just average
The campus itself is said to be in a very rural area and so there a some drawbacks. Reaching the city area is a lil bit time consuming.
Internship option is not provided. Only project submission is allowed. But main campus (CUSAT) allows both the options.

Placement Experience:

Placements are pretty good. Well reputed companies are offering Placement options. Cusat is providing a personal email to it's students and this even help us while applying for jobs and Placements. After covid pandamic placements become comparatively lower than before.

Nirmala College Muvattupuzha - A Good Campus

Likes

I liked that the college has a large campus situated on top of a hill with trees on both sides of the 500m long paved entrance. The college is nature friendly.
The college is a well known college in the district with 17 Undergraduate and 14 Postgraduate programs. The college has NAAC accreditation with a high CGPA score of 3.73, one of the highest in the state of Kerala.
The atmosphere is vibrant and friendly with a good balance in academics and extracurricular activities.

Dislikes

The college doesn't really encourage students in sports.
The college has a students union, but they are pretty much useless.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choosed MCA at Nirmala College due to several reasons: • It is a course which is open to anyone who has passed any bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% and above. The only prerequisite is that one need to attend the annual LBS MCA entrance examination to secure admission to this course. • The syllabus of MCA in this college is affiliated with that of MG University, Kottayam. It is a vast syllabus covering various applications of computer science including programming in various languages such as C, Java, PHP, Python, data structures, algorithms, statistics, data mining, machine learning, software engineering, networking, etc. • The course is theoretically good but practically it doesn't really equip all students with enough knowledge and understanding to be placed in a good IT company. Some portions could be excluded from various theory subjects such as Networking with TCp/Ip and Algorithms Analysis.

The Beginners college

Placement Experience:

As all other Professional colleges, they are offering placement support to get students placed in the top companies around Kerala. If a student is appearing 3rd sem or 4th sem they will automatically be considered for a placement chance. The top companies which recruit from this college are Technopark and TCS.therevare approximately 50 placements are currently made. Even they recruit people the salaries are low for a fresher, as they're below 25000 rupees. Currently, I am thinking about looking for a job in foreign countries after getting my degree completed.
