Krishna Parnami's Review On UPES, Dehradun

As I had passion for learning about our Indian constitution and with having an aim to join a good legal firm in future I decided to join UPES for giving 5 years for me to gain more knowledge about our Indian legal system, also this college has a different specialisation of energy study, which made me more attracted towards this university as this course seems to me the more future proofing.

Academic of Upes is good at a point. Don’t expect it to be like NLU’S but the teachers do their best to provide good environment for teaching. as obvious there are some deviations in the teaching facility but you will find these in every colleges. And next is about the fees, now let me tell you fees of this college is too much, when I started my first semester it was about 1. 3 lakh per semester, now I’m in 7th semester and my fees had raised to 1. 5 lakh. And for the new batches it will be more.

Placement and job opportunity is descent in Upes. Here I’m talking about my course which is legal firm. in this sector not too many companies will approach in this college and you would have to prefer government department for you jobs. Under private sector few firms related to energy sector will reach here. But under government department we have lots of opportunity like ONGC and HCL. Where legal minds are required to sustain there energy work.

We have many different societies there in college that organise and participate in various events, events such as debate, speech, inter-quiz competitions are held where various colleges participate, sports activities such as cricket tournament, badminton tournaments are held where chief guest reward children with money prizes.
