Remarks
College is part of Delhi University, which is among the top university of the college. Infrastructure was like a govt school. There was other new building for Psychology Honors. Teachers and staff are quiet supportive. We need to fill a form for DU admission from DU portal and the apply for admissions as per the cut off. I chooses this college among 2 others, where I was eligible for admission, because this college is quiet near to my residence. The college doesn't have any hostel facility. Canteen is just normal, not too good. Library is also just normal. Placement cell has just started operations. Initially, there were very less placements made during the year, when my presence was there.
Course Curriculum Overview
I was from commerce background and choose Bachelors in commerce Honors. Faculty student ratio was around 1:60. All the faculty are well qualified. All of them are at least PhD in respective areas. Teaching method is also good. Exams were regularly to time as per University norms and exam pattern was also decided by Delhi University.
Internships Opportunities
Various companies like EY, KPMG, Federal Bank and some insurance companies were on board for internships. Tenure of internship was for 2-3 months and stipend offered during the period was around 15-20k per month.
Placement Experience
For internships student from any year of graduation can apply. Since the placement cell had just started operations, there were no major placements made during the year before us. Highest package made was for 5.5Lakhs per annum. Average package was for 4 Lakhs per annum. Almost 10-20% students got placements in the year 1 from when placement cell started operations.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee was too low, if compared to other Universities. Being a govt university, all colleges of Delhi University are having least fee. Fee was 7000 annually. Various scholarships were available to the needy students. There were no fee hike during the 3 year tenure and I probably that had not occurred in like 5-7 years in past . On campus placement possibility is too low as placement cell had just started it's operations.
Campus Life
Annual Fest was named different year year. Also, every department used to have their fest annually. Like for commerce dept. The name was commercial under which various activity were conducted. Books & journals relating to curriculum were easily available. Infrastructure for classroom was not acceptable. Sports & ECA was just acceptable. Various social group like commercial, debate society, dance society, music society, placement cell and others were there.
