Remarks

Management is all about more profit. They don't pay much attention on the quality of educational but only on placements and marketing so that they can top the ranking chart. But if you really want to study and do some research, then University may help you if you ask them to.

Entrance Preview

I cleared JEE Mains 2014 with 125 marks. But choose this university as I didn't get any college good by counselling.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Studies are not so good. Main focus is on training and placement only.If you have to research on something, you have to do it yourself or can get a little help from institution.Syllabus is common as of most private universities. You can easily score a good CGPA in this university.

Internships Opportunities

It does provide internship but doesn't pay for it.They have contacts with some of companies which provides paid internships.

Placement Experience

4.5

This is the only good thig about this University. If are average in studies, you can easily get a job by joining the TPP program.IT companies are more common. So if you are pursuing any other course, chances are that you may end up in an IT company.

College Events

4.5

If you love events, this is your place. Events are very frequent here, nearly every week. You can also join the event management group of the university and get chance to meet celebrities. There are technical fests also and many other celebrations. And if are missing anything, you can ask the DSW to arrange an event and you can coordinate it.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is average. It is around 1.25 lakhs for engineering and 80k for hostel. I think it is not that expensive. You may also get scholarship if your +2 result is good.50% off on tuition fees if above 90% in 12th class.Out of 1.25 lakhs, only 86k is tuition fee.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes. There are lot of scholarship scheme available here.If your score is above 90% in 12th clasd, you will get 50% off on tuition fee. And if above 80%, then only 25%.There are other scholarships for SC & ST students from Punjab state govt. Which may help some.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life is good. If you are a friendly person, you will end up with many good friends from all over the country. There are international students as well from Asian & African countries. The university had tie up with over 150 foreign universities. So if you want to exchange a semester, you easily can, but with a extra amount of money.Lot of gaming and debate competitions happen around.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel is really messy as there are too many students living here. Every room has 4 students. No other plan. You will adopt the environment real soon.Mess food is average. For some, it is good, for some, bad. There is a lot of variety in food and its really healthy. But you may get bored of it pretty soon.

Alumni/Alumna

Something. Not everyone is same.If you have contacts of seniors and know them, then they may help you.I don't think that University organize any reunion of alumni. Some of the students are really at good positions and they may help you out if you approach them thru university.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is very easy. There are 3 mid sem tests and one online quiz.40 marks internal and 60 external. In final paper, you will get 9 questions from which you have to attend only 6.So with average study time, you can easily pass all the exams. But attendance is a real issue.

Faculty

3

As far as ME is concerned, faculty is not as qualified as it has to be. They can get the job done but not upto the mark.I don't know about other branches, but as my friends say, they are also the same.Only administrative facilities are good but they don't teach.

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro, cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed. The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
