Remarks

Get your child admission in this college he/she will tell you about the remarks of the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

You have to learn by yourself. The college is just giving you the course and nothing else will be provided. They only ask for fees and attendance, during the lockdown also they are asking for fees if no fees is given they will cancel your exam. The exam marks that you got are way more different than you get in your final report.

Placement Experience

1

They combine many colleges and give them a mega placement day where other colleges student are treated different.

College Events

1.5

All events are celebrated but only the seniors arrange the event no faculty is taking part in it. Technical events are organised by the seniors of the college which are having some knowledge in any particular topic. That events are also known as workshops.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Expensive. In every nrmew year they increase the academic fees and hostel fees with 10000 to 20000. On my time I was paying about 64000 academic fees and 75000 hostel fees for computer science engineering. Now every year it is increased by many amount.

Fees and Financial Aid

I opted for scholarship but in starting it is active but you have to score upto 7.5 sgpa to maintain it but for all the scholarship students they decrease the marks of the student so that they score less sgpa.

Campus Life

No time for extra circular activities either you can study or you can do these stuffs. They waste your time in classroom and then you have to go back to your rooms and study those topics because just by reading ppt you can't get the knowledge. You have to do that by your own.

Hostel Facilities

Yes, very low quality of food is given and rooms are different in each building. Ost of the time I used to be hungry and don't eat because of their poor quality of food. When each building make their own hostellers food at that time the food quality was good.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes max are helpful. Most of the seniors are helpful and they tell you about the way of delivering knowledge by the college.

Admission

Just register your seat and you will get the admission no exam or interview is required it the college. Nowadays they started scholarship test for new students but that scholarships are also for 1 semester and only some got there scholarships according to their sgpa.

Faculty

0.5

Some are good and max are not good. Many of the faculty are with very low experience because of that they only come the class and show us the presentation they make and then they just read out the words from the presentation. Very less of the faculty make us understand what they want.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Chandigarh University - [CU], Bachelor of Pharmacy [B.Pharm]
Reviewed on Sep 6, 2024(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

As i have opted the course B.Pharmacy! I rate the course as optimal, neither too bad nor too good, its medium! Now comes on teaching method, some teachers are really well and good and few are those who does not teaches but only writing writing, thats it, they will not explain at all! And one thing they should change is that All Courses except B.Pharmacy in Chandigarh University have the criteria to pass the student even below the 40% only or the half of the highest number scored by the topper in the class, and for Bpharmacy its minimum requirement to pass the exam is 50%, Oh My God! This needs to be changed, Now every year, in Bpharmacy, the overall 80% students are getting Compartments (Back/Fail) in the subjects, but the University is not understanding it all. So this should be changed as earlier!

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
