Remarks

The college is a bit famous in the city of cuttack and the whole of orrisa. Also the faculties here are well known. The well maintained and huge campus was also a reason to join this institution. The fee structure is also feasible.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is designed in a well planned manner to meet the new competitive world. The students are taught java, C++ and also other useful computer programming languages to meet the current requirement of the companies. The faculties are good and supportive enough to help on projects.

Class Size: 10Course Fees: INR 540000 per year

Placement Experience

Job opportunities in the college are decent the placement team gets in touch with companies and good recruiters also if the students work hard there are chances of getting placed into good companies. Companies like Tata Steel TCS Wipro Infosys visit the company for placement

College Events

Along with academics extracurricular activities are also a part of college life. Here in DRIEMS you have to get in touch with the event head of the college and close acquaintance to get participation in various events. The events however are well planned and executed. The annual event Vasantika is very famous among the students.

Campus Life

The campus packs in a huge 167 acres campus. It packs in a boys hostel, girl hostel, academic blocks for different courses. Mess for food. A small cafe and much more. Also it has an indoor stadium, a gym and swimming pool. The campus is surrounded by greenery.

Likes

Beautiful campus with lot's of space and with good computer labs
They conduct exam in very smoothly manner

Dislikes

Need to improve administrative building while submitting fees many students face problem
Lab session of some subjects are too long which is around 3 hrs which need to reduce for atleast 2 hrs

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities in my college are good, with students generally becoming eligible for campus placements from the pre-final or final year, depending on the course and company criteria. The college has an active placement celll that supports students by Organizing training sessions, resume building and also mock interviews.

Best part is the infrastructure and facilities provided and the flexibility with the payments and attendance
Best faculties of the state and a enjoyable campus life with various levels of social interaction

Likes

Teaching pattern and teachers are good and helpful

Dislikes

Location but now it's developing a lot here
Food of the canteen can be better than what it is
They don't give fruits or milk for breakfast

there are smart class rooms and good faculty for my course and various extracurricular activities are available for students
you can compete many state and national level competitions such as essay writings, creative writings, debate, poster making, etc.
the management of the university is really commendable. various departments and cells have been established to help students in their academic life such as; placement cells, incubation and innovation centers for young entrepreneurs

Dislikes

students who are engaged in political activities often exercise their dominance over other students
sanitation could be better with the mutual efforts of both the students and the college management
though is a placement cell present, i haven't seen many numbers of students getting employed through the university placement cell

sociology as an academic discipline is really sought after in the recent times. it is considered as one of the most sought elective chosen by the upsc aspirants and the discipline in itself gives you a great chance at understanding your society and other societies about how they function amd operate, provides knowledge about various cultures, health, environment, city structure and so much more. you can pursue higher studies or go for NET exams right after post graduation. you can also work with ngos and other nonprofit organizations. each semester is ideally of 6 months and two exams are there. the difficulty level of exams would range from moderate to high

Our college has really good faculty who have really high expertise in their own subjects
It has a lot of facilities and amenities
The college has labs which provide proper practical experience

Likes

The teaching style of the teachers are good and they are too much dedicated towards student.
The college environment that's very good. Full of nature and a natural environment.

Dislikes

The drinking water is not good. Acqua guard not sufficient.
The buildings are too old. Need to improve that.
All the courses are not provided and for UG students they may suffer many problems regarding official things

The professor who taught in our class they are taught is best In teaching.
They provide you many opportunities to work upon on you.
The infrastructure of college is good and huge.

Dislikes

The campus is very vast, and you have to walk for every minute of work.
The are very serious about your study and what you are doing
The gate get closed if you get came late even it's 5-10 minute late.

Placement Experience:

It's good as many company come but the placement directly depend on your study and hard work of your 4 year and a pre placement also conduct in 3rd year where you can also get placed. For placement the student should secure 8-10 cgpa for sit in interview exam.

First reason was that it was cheaper in fee as compared to other colleges at that time but now they have increased the fee also later stage I realised that I did mistake choosing this college over the available options like silicon institute of technology,cv Raman University and SOA around similar fee structure with better facilities and placement stats. If you want to make your career bright so come here

Actually I also applied for Iter Bbsr . But due to some family reason I can't take admission in it . Then after I see that, Driems facilities is also good. And no other college than compared within these fees structure and high facilities . No , I didn't get any rejection from any college, I didn't go there , due to some financial issues..
