My college review

Neutral.I can't conclude with good/bad but neutral.Can experience everything.

Basically, My native is Andhra.I Did my +2 course in my home city and came out with 97.4 %. Tried to perform well in AIEEE but no chance only hard work & luck plays here.Hardly prepared for EAMCET. So, No clue of getting a good score in EAMCET.Prepared for VIT,LPU,Karunya admission Exams,luckily got a good score in all three.However,I got to know about SASTRA UNIVERSITY from my friends.Searched about the university with seniors and alumni and found university is good at Infrastructure, faculty, professors, clubs, events and finally PLACEMENTS.So, I choose Sastra.

Sastra also follows IIT and Anna university curriculum along with the own curriculum.Mostly the combination of courses curriculum helps to cover all the major aspects of particular course either be a core or IT. Department Electives,labs,mini projects totally makes course structure pretty good.If you are good at academics with 7.5 CGPA you can opt for Open electives which should be completed parallel to your core.

Based on my experience one should not totally depend on college to look for internships.You should try yourself to aim for good Internship.If you get an internship in IIT'S and good core companies you can look for stipend and stipend varies from company to company.SAP-semester abroad program which you can do in your last semester based on your CGPA,Interview result.

As of now, there is no negative scenario regarding placements.Most of the students more than 95 % will get placed.At this time in the academic year 2016-2017 already 60% were placed and one more semester there to look for even more placements.Recently around 900 students got placed in TCS. HR departments deal with all the placements and job opportunities along with T&P department.Average package is 4 lakhs. Recent companies visited Sastra. TCS- 3.5 L, PAYPAL-21L, MUSIGMA-4L, LATENT VIEW-4.5L, ASHOK LEYLAND, SUPER GAS, HONDA, HYUNDAI, CISCO, ITC & Many other companies.

The fee structure is quite feasible can be afforded.Loans are provided by IOB & CITY UNION BANK.You can see all the details regarding fee structure in sastra.edu.Fee structure varies based on the programme you choose like LAW,B.TECH,M.TECH,MBA,POLYTECHNIC.

Scholarships are offered totally based on your academic performance mean based on your CGPA.Merit scholarship for top 10% of students is offered.I never availed scholarship as of now.Coming to loan facility both IOB and CUB banks offers loans throughout the whole coarse.

Campus life in Sastra not literally sucks but can't be too posh.Rules and regulations should be followed which are very critical.Gender ratio as like other universities.Students from all over India are pursuing their degrees here in Sastra. There are many clubs in Sastra where you can share your ideas & show your Interests.

Hostels are not so efficient.Girls hostel and boys hostel are different.There are 2 in 1 ,4 in 1, 6 in 1, and single rooms.Enough rooms are there to hostlers.PG'S do accessible nearby university.Average rental for PG'S is around 3000/-.Mess food is quite mediocre.You can expect best from the mess food.

Totally helpful both alumni and senior students.Being with seniors is always fun here.Ragging is strictly condemned,But no one can stop that. You can get info regarding academics, job opportunities from seniors.

The admission process is not a big procedure to deal.Notifications regarding admission date,date of submission of application form and other things can be seen on the official site sastra.edu probably two months before the admission date.You can get all information regarding the allocation of seats based on AIEEE and +2 marks.As of now the getting seat in Sastra is a great deal because of it's Hype, competition, and +Ve placements critic.

Most of the faculty has done there Ph.D. In their respective courses.All are qualified and Good at dealing with doubts and completing the curriculum in specified period.There will be no targets,classes usually go in a scheduled process which will be decided by the higher faculty. Learning is not too easy ,you have to prepare for CIA'S total of 3.Best of two will be finalized at the end.
