Remarks

Excellent faculty and staff in the department, good overall history of the department and the college, also I got the branch I wanted, the place was closer to my home town than the other engineering colleges

Course Curriculum Overview

Our batch has the new syllabus of DU, so I am quite satisfied with it. Yes, enough industrial exposure was provided to us during the course. Most of the faculties are very helpful and approachable to students.

Placement Experience

Many IT companies visit the college for placement every year. Some PSU's also visit the college for placement. Overall placement is almost good for some of the departments.

College Events

A technical and a cultural fest is held every year in the month of November and March respectively. Many other inter hostel and intra college activities are also held from time to time. Most of the college students participate in them.

Hostel Facilities

I opted for a hostel in the college campus itself. Hostel rooms are quite spacious, yes I share my room with three others. The average PG rent is about five thousand per month. Hostel seats are alloted on the basis of merit.

Placements are good . Around 60% students gets placed. More than 250+ companies visits. Many students are preferring DS and Non Tech roles after graduation ( for core branches ) and they are getting good opporutunities in them aswell.

A chapter of growth, my college life

Course Curriculum Overview:

See I had the passion for civil since my 10th std. I am really happy about my course . Because there are many job opportunities in govt sector in Assam. I like the teachers of my dept but some are not that friendly . Maybe it depends upon their mood sometimes I don't know really . The civil course is practical it's enjoyable. I would have liked it more if it would had more placement opportunities on campus . Otherwise it's fine

The placement is quite good in my college. In 7 th semester the placements start and the package goes from 16lpa to 2 cr . About 75 percent student who applied got placed . I want to work in a software firm.

College placement in our college is pretty good .one can appear for placement from 7th semester. Average package in our college is around 4 to 5 lakhs. The maximum package ever to come from Assam Engineering College is 48 lakh

GOOD COLLEGE FOR GOOD PEOPLE

Placement Experience:

In the 4th year, 2nd sem students become eligible for campus interviews and placements. Some big and some companies like Attra infotech and other small companies visited and made offers. This 8 lakh package is the highest. Maximum of 60% of students are getting placements. I am planed to work in tech Mahindra company as a junior engineer.

A journey worth sharing

Remarks:

The college facilitates good infrastructure with spacious libraries, laboratory and playing grounds. It also provides a good faculty with years of experience and degree holders from different universities.

Remarks:

The main negative thing is the college is far away from Guwahati city and the transportation service is not good and the university is also situated on the top of hill , so climbing every day mountain is so painful for legs.

Remarks:

Its a good college. I feel lucky to read on this college. They faculty, the facilities is nice. The environment of the college is very good for education. The management cell of the college is also do grat jobs. But the main problem I have found is placement. According to the other colleges the placement of this college is not so good. If the college can give more placement then it will become a great college. Overall its a great college full of knowledge.
