Remarks

Need more extra curricular activities to be added to the system also involve the alumni to the school activities that will definitely help more genuine admissions.

Entrance Preview

Heard good reviews about the college reputation. Got good feedbacks from the alumni. Good infrastructure and the laboratory facilities. Big campus in between the woods. Heard very good comments about the teaching faculties. I wrote Kerala entrance/aieee to get an admission.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum was good. It wasn't a tight schedule. If we do our job up to date then we will have time for everything like the extra curricular activities. Two days of a week were lab days, we were to wear a lab friendly dress for the whole day.

Internships Opportunities

There is no such thing in the college. Instead they do ask us to find a place to do our internship. This usually is a non paid internship. We get chance to go to different industries and learn what they do there this is a week process.

Placement Experience

1.5

Core companies are actually less. Even though core companies come up for recruitment they would need just 4-5 students so core companion placements are bad. But for computer science dept, a lot of companies come in and they recruit plenty. But those non core companies or it companies do recruit from branches other than computer science as well.

College Events

0.5

There were very less extra curricular activities. Once in two years we have a techno cultural fest that conducts inter-college competitions for science and arts. It's called igniz. Then there are festival celebrations for onam were we get the wear traditional clothes.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Very expensive. Generally education is very expensive in India as the banks are ready to kill the child with unaffordable loans. And if the student doesn't get a decent placement and if the parents are not well of, that's the end of that family. In this scenario the private colleges ask for more money. It was 1.2 lakhs for me every year.

Fees and Financial Aid

No. Nothing of that sort to my knowledge. There were fee concession for sc, St and other backward classes. The college had a tie up with union bank of India. So if to apply loans, they could do it along with the admission process. There weren't any scholarships available.

Campus Life

5

Campus Life for hostel student were good cos they get to spend more time together. As I mentioned earlier, competition, extra curricular activities were very less in number. These were no politics involved, we never spoke to each other about politics. Raging was banned in the college and hence we just had to face small small pranks that only helped to be friendly with the seniors.

Hostel Facilities

1

I was a day scholar. So I could stay at home and bring food Daily. But what I have heard from my hostel friends are that they don't get good food, may be they do get once in a while if they are lucky. there were issues with the food expiry also. All these did affect their health, when hostel kids grew thinner day scholar Like me could increase 10 kg as there was other extra curricular activities.

Alumni/Alumna

We never would be able to interact with the alumni. They did not provide an option like that. Alumni meets also happen rarely and hence alumni was never given a chance to give back.

Exam Structure

As I said earlier, the labs happen twice a week so those two days the students are very busy. Also, of we do our job punctually there is no much stress. We have class tests, seminars, projects, semester exams, modal exams and public exams. So for some it would be a chilled out place while for some it would be stressful place.

Admission

I was enrolled in the Management quota. Had an interview with the principal and other counselors. My marks were verified. There was board the showed what were the remaining courses available and number of seats left. We were to choose from them it wasn't a difficult experience.

Faculty

4.5

Very good except the hod of my department all the teachers were very supportive. Ready to help us any time. They come to the class well prepared after doing a lot of research and hence they are always able to solve any doubts we ask. They give the best notes. There were students from other colleges who wait for our notes.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is excellent because it contains so many informative ideas and the practical lab is the best. I chose this course to get an idea about the civil engineering field and i m satisfied with it. The faculty members are very supportive and helpful. The student ratio is very low. Faculties at our college are MTech holders and PHD also. There will be two series exams and one university exam in each semester and there are eight semesters in Btech.
