PSIT have one of the best infrastructures in India. Top-ranked college in North India. One of the largest Computer Lab in North India. Admission Process: to take admission in PSIT, the candidate should enrolled in the AKTU entrance examination & then go for a further procedure or can take admission with management quota. Choose your branch Wisely. As PSIT is famous for IT/CS branch. Hostel facility is also available for students as well as faculties. The hostel is in both the form A.C & non-A.C. For me, this college is much better than another college because it gives you a wing to fly high in this Tech-era. Students can perform every practical in a designated lab independently. Lots of opportunities to enroll in co-curricular activities so that student can enhance their skills in a better way. Faculties are highly Knowledgeable & supportive. Personally I had choose this college from UPSEE examination and I feel very proud to be a part of this institution.

Course Curriculum Overview

9/10

There are lots of courses available so you can choose whatever you like to study. I was a student of the "Department of Mechanical Engineering" & I choose it because I want to be a Mechanical Engineer and yes now I am a Mechanical Engineer in Star Wire (India) Limited, one of the reputed industry in Delhi-NCR. In every section there was 60 student and 3 section was in mechanical department in short 180 student were in Department of Mechanical Engineering. Faculties are highly qualified and Knowledgeable. Some of them also have industry experience so it is very beneficial for the student to know what happening in industries. Well, Every PSIT'ians know about this fact. Internal Exams were more difficult than external exams. Pattern of internal examination is sometimes going to very high. But if you take the classes regularly then you can beat it easily.

Placement Experience

9/10

There is a Cell for placement drive known as Placement-Cell. The plans for student selection, eligibility, etc. From the 7th Semester students become eligible for campus placements. Companies Visited in PSIT are like Infosys, Wabag, Windmolar, Capgemini, Byju's, Extramarks, Asahi India Glass, LTI, Wipro, and in Farmacy Nestle, Glenmark, Fortis, Mankind, etc. & in management Parle, Shadi.com, MRF, Aditya Birla, etc. The package is different according to the company and the Job profile. In CS/IT 90% of students got placement in my batch however Core students like mechanical was very low. After getting the job I am enhancing my Theoretical as well as practical knowledge.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

The fee for the B.tech student is around 1.7 Lacs per year and You can also apply for a Scholarship if you are eligible then you can get it easily. The scholarship is different as categories decide by U.P. Government. Cost to study is different for Hosteler and Day Scholar, as There was a Hostel fee of 720000/- for Non A.C and 820000/- for A.C. per year including fooding and lodging. I did not get any on-campus job as it is heaven for CS/IT students so companies from Mechanical Department did not come in my Batch. Somehow very few companies from the mechanical core branch visited.

Campus Life

College is something that everyone, at least sometime in their life, strives for. It’s the finish line that many cross after running the twelve-year race that is the education system. Go to college, get a job, settle down, have a family. But, sometimes it costs more than it’s worth. And sometimes it’s not the end goal that’s in mind. Here are some pros and cons of getting a college education: Pros: Gain a better education: College is a tool for you to use to further your education. You’re able to learn more about the things you love, and about the things you don’t. College means more classes, which means more information for your brain to soak up. More job opportunities Many jobs require at minimum a college education. And with a diploma behind your belt, that means that more high-paying and interesting jobs are going to be available to you. Employers usually don’t bother with your resume unless you have a college education. New experiences Outside of your hometown, there are countless people for you to meet, and new places to go, and college is a way to do that. As an adult on campus, you will have so much more freedom. Freedom to check out that new coffee shop down the street, or wander around campus at your leisure. It’ll all be new to you, a breath of fresh air in your life. Try new things and see new people. Get outside of your comfort zone/boundaries When you go to college, you’re expected to be independent. You won’t have anyone holding your hand the entire time, instead you will have to do things by yourself. This will test your limits, and while it can be stressful at times, you’ll find that you’re capable of so much more than you expected. Cons: Debt/Student loans It’s common knowledge: college costs money. It’s expensive, and while scholarships help, they only help to ease the future debt. Student loans are an option too, but once you graduate they’ll come knocking on your door. This lack of money that is common among college students leave them turning out their pockets and turning towards their family, friends, and the bank for a way out. Stress School is stressful, and college is going to be even more stressful. You’re more or less on your own. It’s up to you to email professors, to get yourself to class, to figure out how to graduate. Even though you’ll have counselors as resources, having to be independent is still going to stress you out. Jobs don’t require college education There are successful careers that doesn’t require their employees to have a college education, like veterinary technicians, opticians, and dental hygienists. These jobs pay well, and offer you a steady income and way to have a comfortable life. Famous/rich people without college education Think of Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, and Ellen DeGeneres. All three have something in common: lack of a college degree. Many celebrities and entrepreneurs started a semester or two of college, but eventually dropped out without graduating.
