Remarks

Over all, my experience was ok. The only major concern was ragging. The second major issue was that faculties cancelling classes after January of each year (since no student turned up after January - which was in turn due to attendance not being strictly

Entrance Preview

I didn't have to take any entrance exam when I joined here. Admission was offered based on my score in 12th grade

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is set by the Madras University that the college is affilated to.

Internships Opportunities

There were no intern-ship programs for BSc Mathematics (and I don't think even now there could be any, as BSc mathematics is not a professional course!)

Placement Experience

2.5

I pursued my MSc Mathematics from Anna University after my BSc Maths from this college. So, I didn't even attempt to get a job after my exit from this college.

College Events

1.5

As long as I went there, there were no culturals/technical events. The only program that used to be conducted was some kind of a annual day function, where a chief guest was asked to give a talk, followed by a snacks packet! That was it!

Fee Structure And Facilities

It was very nominal. I had to pay an annual fee of around Rs 4500.00 each year. It had to be paid at the beginning of each year. Apart from that, there was a small application and admission fee - both added up to an amount less than Rs 1000.00 (I don't remember the exact amount)

Fees and Financial Aid

As far as I remember, there was one scholarship that was available for those whose parents where below a certain income level. I didn't qualify for it and so didn't even apply.

Campus Life

2.5

The only extra curricular activity was sports - I used to see people practice playing volley ball almost every day in the evenings. I think the college had a couple of top level players too.

Hostel Facilities

3

I was a day scholar. So, this question is not applicable to me! Since I never was interested in staying in hostel, I never even enquired about the hostel facilities.

Alumni/Alumna

Ragging was a serious issue when I was there. Since I was protesting it, the only interaction with my senior students was to protest whenever they tried to rag me!

Exam Structure

Since the college was affiliated to the Madras University, we just had an exam once every year. Otherwise, the lecturer conducted some tests then an then - which dependent on the faculty - some of the faculty never gave any test!
