Remarks

Good aspect is the infrastructure, teachers and the environment. I met a lot of students with diverse culture, different states. We interact and learn a lot from everyone. One thing I didn't liked is the work pressure. There is too much work pressure and too many classes to attend. We get free at 5 PM and at time we are too exhausted. The admission process involves an entrance test - CUCET. I casually gave the exam (didn't prepare much) and still got scholarship (5%). I preferred this university as I heard too much about Chandigarh University. I went through the YouTube videos and talked with some students before finalizing.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

After B.Tech the placement was not good as I was little into coding. So, I chose MBA (Marketing) course. The student-faculty ratio is around 1:50. The teaching method is quite good. I enjoy classes of JD sir as he follows the practical approach rather than just giving assignments. If you want to opt for MBA (marketing) do attend his lectures. The term exams are hard to pass as the faculty is strict in evaluation.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Role offered in OYO was of business development executive. And in other companies too it was the similar profile. A few companies were there that offer Managerial positions like clicklabs, Kapsons, iGate.

Placement Experience

4.5

In MBA we were given internship opportunities right from the start of the second semester. There are a lot of companies that visited. I was eligible to sit in JARO, BYJU, OYO. The competition is tough here as everyone is looking to grab the opportunity, I worked hard for grabbing one internship. If you are an average student too, you'll get placement but working hard is important. 70-80% of students get placed. Most of my known seniors got placed. My plan is to work hard and rise in this field.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is high but comparing with other colleges it is reasonable. I regret not studying before giving the entrance exam. As I see my classmates avail 40% scholarship but I took it casually. My advice is if you want a scholarship, do study hard in the entrance exam - CUCET.

Campus Life

5

The campus life is too happening here. Firstly once in a hostel, we get the hostel nights where we interact with other hostel mates and showcase talent. I sang a song during one such event. Annual Festival is CU FEST where top singers were called for performance. Each block has a library and once the central library is there. But the constraint is such that the central library opens till 10 PM. If you want to sit all night, no 24 hours library is there. Classrooms are clean, the projector is available. We have a sports department, a well-maintained GYM, a Badminton court, a cricket net, and many more sports facilities (I'm still exploring). CLUBS: I'm a part of the personality development club

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel is good. Food quality is as usual. On Sunday there is a special meal like chana bhatura and puri. On other days, the meal is regular. One thing that is good that a mess committee is constituted that helps us in case we face any problem. Registration for the hostel was not an issue. The point that I considered is security. I have a laptop and other gadgets that need to be secured. The hostel is affordable as well as secured. If I rented any place outside it would cost around 7-8k and food cost extra. If you take a rented space in Mohali it would cost even more.

Remarks:

I completed my BBA from CU and really liked this university because of it's amazing infrastructure and the kind of high level education and practical skills they were providing. It was already decided that I wanted to pursue an MBA program in the long run. I took CAT and was able to score as per CU criteria and I was an alumni of this college only so I was given preference, although the admission was done on merit basis. I also had to pay INR 1000 as the application fee while applying through the official website of the university.

I did my masters from Punjab Institute of Management and Technology and the level of education I got from the college was impeccable. It made me capable enough to successfully start and run and expand my business. I would definitely recommend my college for the sole reason of its precious academics and the supportive faculty. Though the campus life and extracurricular activities are also refreshing and memorable.

I think that our college is good an average. The fees are a bit expensive but feasible and they refund me the concession money for the semester and the hostel fees. I had fun with my friends and classmates too.
