Remarks

I have chosen this College due to its past performance records. I used to see the ads on different platforms about their placements and faculty, so I visited this college. On my visit, they showed me the entire college along with living classes, Hostel Rooms, Mess, etc. I like their infrastructure very much and I decided to opt for this college. I also visited the different colleges in this region, but I liked this college the most.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Course Curriculum is efficient and it follows the latest technology advancements. Staff is highly efficient people. They have their own method of selecting the trainers, so we got good trainers. Apart from the Staff, their Labs are also equipped with Good PCs. I had Computer Science Engineering, so higher RAM PCs are essential for Coding, they had all the things there. In my 4 Years of College, I spend my maximum time in labs in practicals.

Internships Opportunities

5

One of our batchmates got an Internship at Google, which was big. Even I got many Internships offer and did mine doing Python Programming. In 45 Days of Training, I utilized each and every minute, and then I got 3 Internships till the last year, along with the last 6 months of training.

Placement Experience

5

Chandigarh University is known for its Placements, most of the students get placed. It's good that many blue-chip companies visit the campus like Amazon, Google, and Microsoft. CU students got placed in Amazon as well. Even I got an offer from Indian tech Giants. When One of My seniors got placed, I followed him also. Even Amazon hired of our mate on 31.25LPA. That was huge.

Fees and Financial Aid

Many of my friends got scholarships for getting higher marks in the University Exam. They also have CUCET which provides a 100% fee waiver, if you score 90-100 marks in CUCET. Apart from that merit-based scholarships are there. The semester fee was in my budget, so my family insisted I go to college.

Campus Life

5

No one can match Chandigarh University in this particular section. Events, Coding Clubs are there, Sports facility is too good, social life is commendable, I used to play basketball in the evening in the court, they have good infrastructure. Even they have a cricket stadium where you can play the game. NCC is also on Campus. Freshers Party was in August and every Year CU fest is also there from October to November.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel is too good. I never saw Sunrise in my lifetime due to excess buildings in my city, but here Guess what, I watch daily sunrise from the 9th floor of the mine. Mess food is good and they have a good arrangement in every building. I got a bed, study table, study lamp and a Chair in My room. I opted for 4 seater room. There were clean toilets and also drinking water facilities on every floor.

Interview Experience

5

I have not faced any group discussion for the Admission Process, I applied for computer science Engineering via their own text. after passing that particular test, they offered me a seat in computer science engineering. I was also interested in Electronics and Communication, but one of my friend suggested me CSE. I opted it and it changed my life.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
