Remarks

First of all choosing, this college was because of my older brother who passed away from here and he already had experienced his bachelor's and master's life so I've seen him doing good. The environment of CU is really good, the teachers are really helpful they are just a call away if you've got any kind of problem. The campus is hygienic and clean. You can take admission by giving an entrance exam through cucet and you can avail good amount of scholarship or if you've got good distinction marks in 12th you can take admission on the merit too. This college was suggested to me by every one of my friends and family members so I opted here. If you're willing to take admission here just go for it. It's good in overall experience according to me, hostel, classroom, mess, gym, food points everything is well maintained.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose Computer Science Engineering because I wanted to learn more about programming and so one day I too could make some kind of video games or any applications. I also wanted to learn web development and master myself in python so I chose this. The faculties here are well experienced they take a keen interest to teach the student until they're well explained and talking about ratio it is 30:1 Most faculties are post-graduate and they chose their profession as teaching here at Chandigarh University. All the staffs and facilities are very helpful and student-friendly. They teach so perfectly that every student in our class grasp everything quickly and give a quick response The term examination is moderate but it'll be difficult for those who don't study at all but according to me the overall question paper is good and if I should rate the question paper I'd rate it 7/10 so you can well imagine how tough it is to pass the exam. The mis sem examination goes around after 1 and a half month

Internships Opportunities

4

The companies offering roles such as a trainee in their company and watch their working skills. The project such as their own ideas to create something new or develop something to apply the change in that particular company

Placement Experience

4

As I'm the student currently studying here but I've seen my seniors getting good placements also the companies visiting the college and interaction is very good. I'd say almost every student got placed anywhere but it's their wish to join the company or not satisfying them. The companies visited such as HCL, Infosys, Wipro, Infotech, and many more. I'd say almost 80% of students get good placement here. I plan to do my master's after pursuing bachelor from here.

Fees and Financial Aid

Talking about fee structure it's 160k but if you give cucet exam you can avail good amount of scholarship. I've got a 30% Cucet scholarship and to get this maintained one has to maintain 7.5 sgpa in their final examinations every year it should be maintained to maintain the scholarship.

Campus Life

4

Life at the college campus is a very energetic and friendly environment ragging free. The seniors are very helpful and friendly as well as teachers. The campus is full of enthusiasm. The classrooms are well arranged and properly ventilated. I enjoy attending my class. The student department for student welfare ( DSW) looks after all the cultural and social workshop and encourage all the students to participate more and more to build themselves in the different cultural programme.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostels are 3 seaters named Zakir, 4 seater name NC or Nek Chand also LC. The hostels are hygienic and well maintained by the staff. The electricity, the internet everything runs smoothly. The mess food is very good it's delicious too You can register yourself in the hostel by just filling a form in the administration block and you can get a hostel bed on the same day.

Interview Experience

4

I've applied for Cucet entrance exam so I've got 100 questions to do in about 75 mins. Talking about the question paper it was 30% easy, 30% moderate, and 40% was tough questions. I've prepared myself through YouTube and different reference books as I knew the questions could be tough in the entrance exam.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
