Remarks
I was looking for a college near to my hometown. I had few choices but when I visit this college, I opted this college due to it's infrastructure. I got admission in CSE. I saw the ads of this college on banners and also on Google. I appeared for one test called CUCET and I cleared that test to get admission here.
Course Curriculum Overview
There is one faculty for every 40 students. Faculties are well qualified and classes were in English only. I selected Computer Science Engineering due to it's wider scope and also this college have very good track record in CSE Placements. Mostly Faculty are PHD holders and they do have good amount of knowledge. They always solved our queries on time.
Internships Opportunities
In my 2nd Year, I got Internship offer. One of my senior was college brand ambassador of Intershala, so I got three internships with help of him. I have done 3 internships during my college days, one in Business Analytics, One in Python and last in Kotlin In my last semester, I also worked on AI system and Augmented Reality projects with help of my project coordinator.
Placement Experience
As I told You, I joined this college for it's infrastructure and placements. I also got offers from many companies. 2-3 Companies were local companies of trinity, so I opted for Mindtree. I got package of 5 Lacs there, I was also shortlisted in Panasonic but the profile of job was better in Mindtree. Mostly students got placed. Few were there, who refused placement for higher studies. After 3 Years, I am working in Accenture as senior software engineer. All I say, this college provides a launch pad for students.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee of the college was reasonable and in my budget, I was class topper so I also got merit based scholarships and also free books from library. Toppers can get more books from library. CUCET is the name of scholarship program where you can 100% free waiver. You have to submit your fee twice in a year before start of the semester. They also provide some relaxation in dates in case of any emergency.
Campus Life
I can give more points to Chandigarh University in this particular section. I joined many coding clubs in which Hash Code was one of them. Classrooms have projectors and white board and comfortable sitting arrangements. I was also part of Cricket Team. College Fests are also good. I have very fond memories of my Freshers Party. One of our student got selected IPL in 2021. His Name is Vaibhav Arora, as a 2018 pass out, I always feel proud after seeing these things.
Hostel Facilities
Yes, I opted for hostels. I was in 4 seater room and my hostel cost was about 80k/year. Food in the hostel is quite good and hygienic. They also give chicken and eggs once a week, Rooms were equipped with a bed, chair and one almirah to each. You can also select 2 seater room, AC rooms are also available. It all depends on your budget.
