I secured 77 marks in AIEEE exam held in 2011 and 89% in 12th class Board exams in 2011. Got admission in CU, then known as Chandigarh Group of Colleges, in August 2011.
Course Curriculum Overview
The study curriculum is as per the norms laid by AICTE. Most importantly, the course has been designed to provide the theoretical as well as practical knowledge of all the areas related to the stream , I was enrolled. It covered all the major aspects which a professional should know before he/she jumps into the market to make a difference.
Internships Opportunities
College provided internship opportunities in various companies. I was enrolled in Internship programme for Wipro Technologies through placements held at campus , which after I became a permanent employee and continuing at the moment. Stipend for me was 15K/month.
Placement Experience
Around 200+ companies visited the campus for placements .Of which 98% were IT companies . IT giants like Microsoft, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Capgemini, Cognizant cam to campus .Packages ranging from 7.5 LPA to 2.50 LPA were offered in various companies. Just 10-11 companies were in the top range of 7.5 LPA to 4.5 LPA.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure for myself was 42K per semester. No donation fees. 25K per semester for hostel , which they started taking year wise , which means 50K per year. It was feasible for me since my parents were able to afford it.Thank my parents and The God for this.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have no such idea about any kind of scholarship / loan facilties provided by college. Had heared that reserved category candidates whose per annum income of their parents were less than a particular limit, had to pay somewhat less fees. No idea about the exact numbers.
Faculty
The faculty is full of enthusiastic folks enriched with deep knowledge of their field. I had this one professor, Ms. Yadwinder , no words to describe her . Utmost sense of professionalism, ocean of knowledge, and most importantly the skill to transfer that knowledge to the minds of the guys in the classroom .
